Junior Armada

First topic message reminder :

Silver City; a towering symbol of human determination and a testament to the human imagination. The city is protected day and night by the most powerful knights the world has ever seen. They are the Hero Armada. Dozens of heroes united under one roof with a common goal. They protect the innocent, not matter the cost. They are led by the beauty of the battlefield, Warrior Woman, the man who can't be stopped, Mr. Amazo, and the strongest man alive, Omniman. Together from the top floor of Hero Tower they watch over the city and the world, monitoring to make certain all is well. And when something isn't such, they mobilize. But today all would fail to be well from under their own roof as a Latin American young woman in a red and blue tight outfit and brown coat walks into the building through the front door.

Ricochet. Tis true what they say. Hath no fury like a woman scorned. When this woman took up the mantle of the last to bear her title she did so half out of spite. She'd been instrumental in the cretin's defeat. Now she inherited his power and many of the burdens that came with his membership. The Hero Armada was watching her. She had been a valuable member so far but she was being difficult as of late. Soon this would be a problem.

Madam Control looks up from her desk as Ricochet marches through the room to the elevator. When the doors close, she picks up the phone. "She's on her way up and she doesn't look like she's here to sit around the campfire and sing kumbaya."

"All right," Warrior Woman says in response. "Thank you for the heads up."

Some time later the conversation between Ricochet and her superiors enters a heated argumentative stage as the rising heroine slams her hands down, forcefully, on chair's round table and sneers. "You've got to be kidding me! Can't spare the people? Zephyr and Ladybug haven't had a mission in weeks! Lion Heart is pounding on local street thugs and you have me on patrol duty! You're honestly going to sit there and tell me that we can't spare a couple of people for a small strike team?"

"Adrienne, listen," Warrior Woman says.

"In this building it's Ricochet. Mask or no mask,"Adrienne says before a brief pause then doubling back. "Ma'am," she says respectfully.

"Ricochet, Ladybug and Zephyr are both Level 7 Metahumans and have access to a number of missions that we can't give you details on," Owl says.

Ricochet turns to her respected darker superior and stands upright with a sigh. "So because I'm barely a level 4 meta..."

"It's not that. The Deadwave invasion last year...and then what happened with Richard," Omniman begins, "It's an overwhelming burden and we have to make sure we're dividing our resources well. This team is an excellent idea. If we had the people to spare, I'd be more than willing to sign off on it. Be we have the remainder of our heroes on the moon base right now."

"If we had a couple more heads in this building, we'd hand 'em over to ya for your team in a heartbeat, kid, but we don't," Mr. Amazo adds.

Ricochet thinks to herself for a moment then looks away through the window. She could see a few heroes flying about outside. It wasn't an uncommon sight around here. Each of them was on a mission though. She wasn't new to that. She'd had this conversation with the Armada's leaders before. Back then they worried about her mental condition. They were entirely honest and she knew in her heart that they were right then. But now?

Following that conversation, she leaves Hero Tower and decides to go for a freerun along the skyline. She enjoyed it really. Richard was an idiot to turn on the Armada the way he did. He had it made. Everyone loved him and he was in a position to actually receive compensation for his heroic deeds. Whether he liked working with them or not, he chose the losing battle. Of course that wasn't why she became the new Ricochet. She didn't get anything out of the relationship with the Armada like he did. No, she did it for the single purpose of spiting him...and she was entirely okay with that at first. But now? Now she stayed not to make him look bad, but because...it just felt right. She lands on a low rooftop in the city and looks around for a bit. Nothing happening here. She could rest for a bit.

"Very well," Aeirrya said. "May the stars protect you in your slumber."

She looked at her NAVOS module on her wrist, it responding at once to her thoughts. A holographic screen booted up at once. She directed it to call her pod to their quarters.

In minutes, her pod navigated itself delicately into the room, now horizontally. She directed it to the upper corner of her room and for all intents and purposes, it made her think of the Earth beds she'd seen the others sleeping in. This thought amused her. She climbed into her pod and in minutes was slumbering.

She sits up through the night, staring at the projection of the stars on the ceiling. It was beautiful but not enough of a distraction for what was going on in her mind. It was natural to have questions. She still had lists of them for these people. But she knew that for every question she asked, they'd have ten of their own for her. She hated lying to these people, especially when it seemed so uncalled for. But was there really no other way? She turns over in bed and waits to drift off into a hopefully deep sleep. She could go for over ten times as long as these people could without resting...but tonight she just wanted to stop thinking.

In a week's time, Tyre was fully healed, citing the witch's battle as his reason for absence. Luckily, there had been plenty of injuries and he'd had the week off.

As he ended his shift for the day, he pondered what to do. All traces of the bastard that had infiltrated V's house were nonexistent. V hadn't seemed particularly upset, saying, "These things happen in our line of work."

"Huh," he said aloud. "Our line of work, huh? Trying not to have it, anymore..."

He thought about Aeirrya and wondered if she'd settled into her new digs well. Probably. Seance was with her, after all. He grinned as he thought about that ball of sarcasm. He gave a wistful sigh. It was better this way. It truly was.

Nothing had really been happening in this week's time. There were no team worthy events. Ricochet had decided to just run some training simulations semi-regularly. Lyra, on the other hand, was out and about, flying through and high above the city as Atta-Girl. She'd been busy this week. She'd save countless cats from trees and stopped runaway car. She'd even stopped an armored car robbery, coiling up each crook in her chain. She was beginning to get noticed much more by the general public. Some people were calling her the 'Omni-Kid' for a bit until she clarified her official name. She'd definitely been useful...but to her it was mere distraction from the thoughts that plagued her.

During training sessions, Atlas was pushing himself. Since the witches, he'd been having problems with his height alteration. He could barely reach three stories without feeling like he'd tear himself in half now. To make up for it, he pushed his absolute hardest during training. It was quite the sight, watching him tear apart armies alone but occasionally it defeated the purpose of the session where teamwork was more key. But whenever someone would call him on it, he'd stare at them for five seconds and leave in the middle of what they were saying.

Bell was starting to stress herself out now. Ricochet had made her field leader and that pressure was practically eating her alive, despite the fact that no missions had occurred since that decision. She spent entire days researching strategy on her laptop while the others worried about her. In training she would focus less on trying to find a flow that fit everyone, and more on barking orders. A natural leader, she was not...but she was going to be a leader. Still, she was beginning to show signs of wear. She might burn out soon if she didn't take it easy.

(ATTN: Livia, Open)
Later that day, Astrid figured she should pay Alex a visit. After asking around for directions to the address he had scrawled on the piece of paper.
She was pleasantly surprised to find him living in an apartment...? House...? She had no idea what to call it. It was somewhat like a house in a large apartment building, with multiple floors.
She looked through the list of tenants, with names next to their respective buzzers. She hit the one next to 'McKinney', shifting awkwardly from foot to foot in the entry hall, her dog beside her.
'Sh*t- I'm too broke to even be here..' She thought to herself, exchanging awkward glances with the doorman, looking around at the nice carpets and fresh flowers in the entry hall. It looked like a fairly new building, modern features, contemporary decoration. After a few moments, Alex's voice crackled through the speakers.
"Yell-o?" He asked.
"It's me...Astrid." She replied, as if he had somehow forgotten what she sounded like.
"Heyyyy- About time you got here. Come on up." The door buzzed and opened, prompting Astrid to usher through with her dog. She hoped this place was okay with pets...
She had taken not even two steps up the stairs when the doorman cleared his throat. She turned, expecting him to tell her to leave her dog outside.
"You know, miss, there's an elevator." He pointed to the bright, polished steel elevator right beside the stairs- that she had somehow missed.
"Oh.." She responded simply, turning around and pressing the button, awkwardly glancing back at the doorman. "Thanks."
-
At Alex's door, she gave a knock, and was almost immediately answered. Alex had changed out of whatever khaki dominated monstrosity of a uniform he was forced to wear, and into something familiar.
"Dress shirt, slacks, tie- Mm, comfy after-work attire." She said sarcastically before he could even greet her. His mouth was open, and he blinked- before he started to laugh.
"Yepp- You have not changed." He finally said. "Come on in-"
Sparky pounced on him, remembering the lanky boy from years passed. However, when she used to do this, she was much smaller- as was he, yes- but the size change was a bit more drastic.
"Whoa-" He barely managed to blurt out before he crashed to the ground under the dogs weight, the wind knocked out of him. "Sparky?" He managed, under the dogs ever-present weight, after regaining his breath. "Holy sh*t! You got big."
"Yepp, she did." Astrid stepped inside, closing the door behind her. The apartment was large and open, modern amenities, and large windows. A large tv and a variety of game systems sat at the far end, with couches, lay-z boys and the like. Seemed Alex was awfully successful.
She glanced over at Alex and Sparky rolling around on the floor, Sparky accosting him, not letting him get up. Not that he seemed to mind. Alex had always struck her as the type of person to be great with dogs, he loved them, and she always thought he'd look good with one.
His drumkit was nowhere in sight, however.
"Yo, where's your kit? Don't tell me you p****ed out of music, now." She looked back down at him. He finally managed to pry Sparky off him, pulling himself to his feet. She'd remembered him as an awkward, skinny boy, whose dreads had made him look like a mop wearing glasses. Now, however, he looked like the kind of person everyone would look up to in college, the valedictorian.
"My kit's in the lower room." He smiled slightly." And that's what you chose to worry about? Dude, you have been gone for years. We thought you died." His face looked a bit grim for a minute, but he shrugged it off. "Anyway- it's good to have you back. Bring it in-" He pulled her into a hug, which she appreciated. They held it for a moment, and another moment, and another moment...
"You know, you're gonna have to let me go at some point.."
"Can we just walk like this to the practice room...?"
-
The 'Practice room' as Alex called it was 50% music equipment, 50% boxes.
"Dude...Sweet equipment but..what's with..?" She waved her arms at the boxes.
"Oh, it's you and your brothers stuff." He replied simply, fiddling with the soundboard.
"What?" Do not tell me he kept all our stuff.
"Yepp. Kept it all after you guys went away. Never wanted to part with it. Finn tried to get me to toss it a few times."
"Nice to see he has faith.." She stared at them. Boxes...and boxes..and boxes...of her and her brothers life. He had kept them all these years.
Her eyes glazed over as she stared at them, prompting Alex to peer around her.
"Aww-" He said, snapping her out of her trance. "Is someone getting emotional?"
"Shut up-" She replied. "Your sentimentality made my brain shut down for a few seconds." She added with a smile.
"Sure, okay." He laughed. Astrid looked about the room, and saw a rather familiar black guitar in the corner.
"Is that...Dita? My Dita?" She asked, looking at her old guitar. The same guitar she had played obsessively on the stoop of her aunt's house in the middle of the night. The same guitar she had found in a thrift store and loved since she was seven. The neck had been so long that her young hands had barely been able to reach all the frets. She had played it from dawn till dusk, perfecting her ability and obsessing over it. She kept it at Finnick's house, usually. One sibling, nice music room- it was too precious to keep at home. But even then she still worried about it. It was oilslick black, shining purple in the light, the stickers she had put on it so many years ago still there, slightly faded.
Alex remained silent as she studied it and picked it up, sitting and resting it on her hip, playing a few chords.
"Hey, it's tuned..!" She said, surprised.
"Yepp. Everytime Finnick comes over he tunes it....He comes over a lot."
Astrid fought back tears. She'd told herself they'd forget her, her brother, turns out they didn't.
-
After an hour the duo had hauled up the boxes and now were laughing as they looked through them, lounging around his living room as the television blared in the background.
"Oh my god this record f*cking sucked." Astrid laughed as she looked through her brothers things, pulling out a CD.
"I know and he sung it every f*cking day!" Alex returned, laughing with her as he pulled stuff out of the box closest to him. "He thought the lead singer had achieved nirvana and spoke to him through his CDs. He thought they were kindred spirits."
"They were only kindred spirits in the sense that their singing sucked." She pulled out a few books. "That reminds me- any of my brothers old porno mags in here? I remember he used to keep them under lock and key."
"Why are you so curious about it?" Alex raised an eyebrow. "Your brothers taste in women was sh*t. But no, never found 'em. Pretty sure he shoved em down his pants and ran."
Astrid laughed. "Yeah.." Alex checked the clock, standing up.
"Well, I think it's about time we head out."
"Head out? To what?"
"Finnick's show. I haven't told him you're in town yet."
"Don't tell me that loser got another band." Astrid sighed.
Alex shrugged. "A crappy band- the drummers good looking enough but he can't keep a beat. And Finn sings better than their lead vocalist. Who's only in because she's sleeping with the bassist. He's only in there till they find another guitarist."
"Niiice." Astrid said, standing up as well, her dog following them out the door.
-
The bar he was playing at was nice enough, they had to get their hands stamped to show they weren't old enough to partake in any alcohol hosted there. They still, however, managed to claim a table towards the back. The opening band as decent enough, the guitarist hit a couple sour notes and lost pace a few times- but to the untrained ear, he was still good.
Oh god, wait, am I becoming an elitist?
Astrid shuddered at the thought, and waited for Finnick to come on. A gaggle of girls had claimed the space closest to the stage. All in their late teens. Alex leaned over the table to speak in her ear, the loud music made it almost impossible to talk to someone.
"Finn's gained somewhat of a fanbase, here. Especially with women."
Astrid rolled her eyes. "Oh boy, bet he loves that."
The crowd of girls roared, and the lights went up onstage. Finnick wasn't hard to spot, his effortlessly slicked back blonde hair and good looks made him stand out among the greasy, dark haired band.
True to Alex's word, the band sucked. Any saving graces they could have gotten with Finnick in the band stopped with their cover songs, crappy riffs and horrid drummer. Their perks were; a good male voice, fangirls and that was it. As soon as their set was over, Alex dragged her to the edge of the stage, where the musicians got out. A couple guys from the other bands started talking to him leaving Astrid alone, leaning against the stage. She drummed her fingers against the faded surface and wondered how long it would take Finnick to get ou-
No sooner had the thought crossed her mind that she felt two arms wrap around her middle and pick her up, swinging her around.
"AaaaaAAAHHHHH-" She shrieked, surprisingly loudly, in surprise. The two men talking to Alex looked up in surprise, and the man himself turned around and smiled.
"Why didn't you tell me you were in town-!?" The person holding her, a man, dropped her. But she didn't have to wait for him to turn her around to know who it was-
Finnick, mock rage on his face, stared directly at her, his guitar on his back and his hands on her shoulders. "B*tchface!" He shouted at her. "I missed you a lot you f***ing know that!? I worried a lot! You just left- You could have died! I just- raagh!" Before she say or do anything but blink, his arms were wrapped tightly around her middle again, this time from the front. He picked her up, and again spun her around.
"How are you doing that with a guitar!?" She asked loudly, not used to being thrown around. Even while spinning she could sense the glares of every fan in the room on her. The intensity of it was almost comical. Finnick dropped her after a few moments, her dizzy a** having no choice but to allow Finnick to sling his arms around her and Alex, her cheek pressing against his side.
If only these girls remembered Finnick as how he had been, skinny, meek, with a blonde bowlcut that his mother insisted on that got him teased; the boy who had wet his bed until he was six- they wouldn't be so jealous.
"God- someone has to text Chris so we can get the whole band back together!" Finnick sighed wistfully. Alex rolled his eyes, but whipped out his phone, presumably texting the man in question.
"So how have ya been, short stuff?" Finn questioned, nudging her. "Breaking plenty of hearts? Taking a lot of names? Kicking a lot of a**? Chewing a lot of bubblegum?"
She laughed, despite the lingering dizziness. "All of the above and then some, my man."
"Glad to hear it! Still queen of the strings I hope?"
"I guess, haven't had a lot of practice, a guitar isn't exactly practical wandering equipment." She smirked.
"Greatness never fades." He replied resolutely.
"Chris will be at my place in forty minutes." Alex piped up, putting his phone away.
"Aw h*ll yeah." Finn beamed, ushering them out the door, with his arms still over their shoulders. "Tell Chance I'll be back for my cut tomorrow- Deuces!"
-
Back at Alex's, Finnick had promptly made himself at home, grabbing a drink, taking his shoes off, and kicking his feet up.
The three were involved in a deep conversation about the symbolic meaning of diarrhea in cinematography *do not ask any of them how this topic came up, they will not be able to supply you with an answer* when the buzzer rang. Alex sprang to his feet to answer it.
"Yeah Chris," They heard him say. "Come on up."
Everyone immediately sat up in their seat. Finnick scratched excitedly behind Sparky's ears, taking a sip of his drink, a large, somewhat sadistic smile on his face.
They remained in silence, staring at the door. Until there finally came a knock. Alex opened the door, beckoning the newcomer in.
Chris had barely changed. His black mop of hair remained the same, but was now slightly less greasy. His somewhat haunted expression remained, and the bags under his eyes had only grown darker. His gaunt and pale appearance was exactly the same, and the primarily black wardrobe remained. He had gained a few piercings and grown taller, but other than that, it was exactly as she remembered.
"So why did you ask me-" His eyes fell on her and became saucers.
"Heyyy Chrisss-" Finnick jeered, his sadistic grin widening.
"Hey, Chris." She greeted, a smile on her face, as she stood up.
He dropped his bags and took off running down the hall.
"We've got a runner..." Alex sighed.
"D*****, no you don't!" Finnick sprang off the couch, taking off running after Chris. "You can't run from reality, Chris! You can't run from your life!"
There was a loud thud at the far end of the hall, prompting Alex to peek out after them.
"He caught him.." He commentated, and it wasn't long before Finnick had dragged the pale man back into the apartment and over to Astrid.
He stared at her with wide eyes, as if denying she existed.
"Say Hiiiii, Chris." Finnick pushed.
"We...I...thought you were dead.." Chris muttered.
"So did i, man. Now bring it in." She opened her arms, to which Chris hugged her, leaning his chin on her shoulder.
"His eyes still look like dinner plates..." Alex sighed.
"Let it sink in." Finnick shrugged.
-
The group had parted ways and given her their numbers, under the promise that she come back the following day and to call them if she needed anything.
As she teleported herself back to the base, she couldn't help but think..
'All my friends, they live in a world so distant from mine...'
But I love them,
so it doesn't really matter.
'And that's the problem.'
-
A week had passed, prompting her newly refound friends to invite her to a party Finnick's friend was throwing. She was told to bring any friends she had found in her stay at the city so...
"Hey, Arens-" She floated beside the girl, who was currently punching the everloving sh*t out of things. "Would you maybe be interested in attending a party with me, this evening? I thought it might be a good bonding thing- considering roommates and all. A friend of mine is throwing it so..."

The day after they settled in Valkyrie was back in her head, without warning, commenting on her training. It scared the bejeezus out of her. According to her, her condition was 'still to fragile' for her to return to her prominent role in her head, but she got the feeling she wasn't exactly being honest.

The rest of the week was training, training, and more training, with some television thrown in. The others were nice enough, but she still felt out of place with them. So when Astrid came up to her while she was training it took her a moment to process what she said.

"Ah..." she said, stopping her punching and wiping the sweat from her forehead as she looked at her. "Sure. Happily. Well..."

She could only hope Valkyrie wouldn't do something ridiculous and embarrass her. I'm insulted, she said, but Livia ignored her. "Yes. Definitely."

Atlas leaves the War Room with his hands in his jacket pockets.  In tow was Liberty Bell, speaking a mile a minute as Ricochet leans in the doorway with her arms crossed and a worried expression upon her face.  "Atlas, you can't just wreck everything like that!  What if Spartan hadn't been able to get Rumble out of there.  We have tactics and strategy for a- hey!  Atlas, stop walking and-". Atlas disappears around the corner, leaving Bell standing there, practically fuming.

Ricochet steps up and nudges the girl.  "Lucy, I know you want to throttle him but-"

"He's such a JERK!  Why do we keep him around anyway?"  Lucy growls.

"...Maybe we all just need to cool off.  I'll go get us all a movie.  Maybe some-"

"What we need is a better field leader than me," Lucy mutters to herself, walking off to her room.

Ricochet crosses her arms again as Lucy leaves then sighs.  "I'm beginning to think this wasn't the best idea..."

He had no destination in mind as he walked the streets aimlessly. He worked on some of his projects absentmindedly--the joy of being connected to your apartment wirelessly--all the while feeling restless.

He'd gone back to his apartment after the girls had left. V's safehouse was almost immediately dismantled and relocated. Tyre knew where, but unless something came up again, he had no intention of using the place.

Despite his best efforts, and those were quite considerable, the intruder had all but disappeared without a trace. He wasn't going to give up--the man had embarrassed him basically in front of V. V hadn't been mad about the breach, of course, but it was the principle of the thing. He'd trusted him to keep the place safe.

"You know in our line of work nothing is completely impenetrable," V had told him. "Don't worry about it."

He sighed. V always had it together. How did the guy do that? As Tyre rounded another street corner, coming across one of the city's smaller parks, he found himself wishing he had that same sense of purpose.

[ATTN: Tyre]

Aeirrya was in her room for far too long--the pod was difficult to leave...the air in there was far more comfortable on her lungs, despite how much more accustomed she has become to the Earth atmosphere. Levitation has become simpler, as well, but this was only due to the thing that Twista had given her in the beginning. She was still getting repeated contact attempts by human journalists and press.

She has avoided them with easy success, so far, considering her location has been unknown, but she dreads the day when they do actually find her. On one side, she would love to keep a disguise, but she refuses to do so too often. Her identity is something of which she is proud and fond. She must represent her people, even with her mistakes.

She picks up the communicator that Twista had told her she could contact him with. She hesitates, but shrugs it off and decides to give the human a call. Sure, he may be busy, but he can always contact her again when he is free.

[Attn: Aeirrya]

He blinked as he received a call. He was...swinging on one of the swings.

"What can I do ya for, Ae?" he said chipperly, moreso than he felt. "Everything okay?"

"Everything is running smoothly," Aeirrya replies. "I wanted to request some of your free time should you have any."

Tyre made a face. Free time? He had that in abundance "I'm sure that can be arranged," he said. "Did you have a point in time specifically?"

"If you are free now, then we would no have to wait," she replies. "I formally request this human custom called a date. Where two people of the opposite gender dine and then go to a theater. Although that is an odd name as it can be mistaken for a date in time. Perhaps a better name could have been chosen."

Tyre chuckled. "You'll find that the entire English language is full of idiosyncrasies like that," he replied. "Also, this being the modern era, it's no longer just opposite gender. Just, y'know, fyi."

"Actually, I have recently picked up upon this in my research, though it is not currently socially acceptable. This I find odd, as well, because we can all please each other as efficiently regardless of our gender. After all, the most common Assyrian bonding consists of the same gender as they're more able to understand their own gender over the other with far more ease."

"This is true," he agreed. "However, on Earth you have a lot of religious doctrine involved that brings into question the moral nature of such acts. I don't care either way and ain't gonna hate. If they were making an evolutionary argument, I suppose it wouldn't be a feasible idea, but whatev.

"Anyway," he went on, "we can chew the fat on that over dinner. Say...six o'clock?"

"Most excellent," she agrees. "I shall meet you...here? Or there? Or where?"

"How about Silver City Park, then?"

"Very well."

Aeirrya searches frantically, levitating about the place with speed of someone in a hectic situation. She rushes by Astri's room several times until she finally finds the girl, stopping before here mere inches before bumping into her with wide eyes. "Astrid! Target found! I have looked everywhere for you!"

Astrid floated out of her and Livia's room. 'Great now all that's left is-' No sooner had she stopped and turned to leave had Aeirriya stopped on a dime in front of her, sending Astrid jerking back in surprise. "Whoa, whoa- Aeirrya- What's up?" The girl seemed somewhat frantic, but Astrid was someone dumbstruck by her sudden appearance. "Is something wrong..?"

"Greetings, Astrid." Ae says, placing on a smile. "I have a date with a human. What do I do? What are the protocols? Is there a specific style of clothing that is worn? Are there specific topics that are discussed?"

"You- wait, what?" Astrid blinked. "You got asked out?" 'Lovely, an alien is getting more dates than me..' But what amused her more than that were her questions. "Don't they have dates where your from? Though I suppose they'd be rather different." She crossed her legs, bobbing up and down in the air. "So, who asked you out, and when is it? As for clothes, your 'disguise' seems to be around my size, so I have stuff you could wear."

"It is at six and I aim to be prompt." Ae replies, still hectic. "I asked Tyre out, so that we may discuss, hopefully, human culture, if that is okay for a date."

A smirk rose to her face, which might be described as a 'shit eating grin' by some. "Ooooh, I see. Astro-boy finally got someone to go on a date with him." She waved her hand. "BUT a few pointers, one- he, as the dude, and an incredibly rich one at that, is obligated to pay for everything. If he doesn't, not worth it. Two, dates normally don't include interviews, but considering your new, and I have no clue how alien-human dates work, it should be okay. Three, for future references, a date isn't really necessary to get information, especially out of the human supercomputer, but I digress." She shrugged. "Six tonight? Awh- shame. I was planning on inviting you two out to a party, but I suppose the poor boy hasn't had a date since he came back from...well, whatever he was doing out in space." She clapped her hands together. "Now, where is it? Dinner, a movie? But I guess the latter wouldn't be mighty convenient for talking."

"Yes, a film and to dine...though, we have not discussed where these shall occur at." Ae says. "I don't suppose the date is merely for discussion, it is simply an excuse to have the date. However, I will keep your words in mind and remember that he must pay. You are quite wise in these matters, I am sure."

"Yeah..Wise..." 'Despite the fact that my dating track record isn't the best and you should probably consult someone whose boyfriend didn't use her for concert tickets.' "Well, if it's happening today, I suggest you talk to him about both soon considering some restaurants require a little think called 'reservations' which are usually made in advance."

"Very well." Ae says, "Thank you for your information. It is truly appreciated."

"Don't mention it. Anyway, you mentioned something about clothes, and you'd be more than welcome to raid my closet." She pointed her thumb back towards the door of her room. "The key is trying hard enough to look good, but not trying hard enough to look like you tried at all. Someday I should really give you the power point presentation on all of this- but I never expected dates to be the first thing we covered."

"Very well. I shall look into this. Thank you very much. I apologize for interrupting." Ae replies.

"I do have a closet. And you weren't interrupting anything, really. Also, if you and Astro-Boys date is over by then, I was gonna invite you two over to a party a friend of mine is throwing." Two invitations appeared in her hand, as she offered them out to Aeirrya. "Party's at ten. Address is on the invite, tell 'em your Finnick's friend."

"Thank you." Ae says, accepting the invitations. "I shall keep this in mind. You are very kind."

[Attn: Astrid]

Lyra just got in from a bit of a morning.  She was covered in ash and dust from debris yet her outfit held together as if it were made of titanium.  At some point today the news would say something about an apartment building burning down.  She passed by a few of the others on her way to the elevator.  No one asked, really.  It was fairly obvious anyway.  As she floats down the hall toward the restroom, she pauses when she sees Astrid and Aeirrya.  "Good morning...or afternoon.  Forgive me.  I have not been able to view a clock since my return.  No one was awake when I left so I figured it best to greet everyone now.  How are you?  Did you sleep well?"

Then she notices the pieces of paper in Ae's hand.  "What are those, if my asking isn't an intrusion?"

Astrid turns in the air, looking at the blonde as she speaks.
"Oh, those?" She looks at the invitations. "They're...invitations for a party." Was she asking if she could come? Hm, she seemed nice enough, and she hadn't really had a chance to talk to her. "Would you be interested in going? I have another invite, if you want."

"A party...those were the social rituals that Ms. Adrienne was telling me about, I think." She pauses to ponder it for a moment and undoes her topknot, covering one of her eyes with her long, golden hair. "I would be most delighted to accompany you," she says. "I have only attended the one celebration...among an assembly of people in...costumes. I have yet to attend a 'normal' one." She touches her feet to the ground and looks ahead with brightly pleasant blue eyes and a smile.

(ATTN: Lyra)
Astrid holds the her hand out, her fingers clenched into a fist- with the exception of her middle and index fingers. Flame unfurls from between them, from which emerges an invitation. She offers it off to the blonde girl, a slight smile on her face.
"It's at ten, but we'll be leaving a bit earlier. A friend of mine will be driving us." After she took it she crossed her arms. "Do you have something to wear? Like, party appropriate?" She knew some of these kids had a habit of taking things literally.

Lyra glances down at her current manner of dress. "I...have what wardrobe Ms. Adrienne helped me compile. I am not wholly certain what is appropriate for what situations yet. The clothing here is all so much more diverse. Usually when I am out with Ms. Adrienne, she tells me to simply wear the jeans and t-shirt. But I did see a party earlier today. It appeared customary to wear strange, cone-shaped hats. There was another party on 'the television' that was very different. The girls all wore very elaborate gowns and garments. I do not have these things but I can go and get them," Lyra says, leaving the ground again.

"Er...somewhat of a happy medium between the two." Astrid  bit her lip. "I could help you pick something out, if you want? It's not too fancy but...well, dress nice. Sorta like if you were going out clubbing I guess...?"

Lyra hovers there and stares as Astrid tries to explain. "I...will give it some thought. You seemed to be on your way somewhere and I do not wish to be a distraction," she finally says. "Excuse me." Then she turns and flies off to go get cleaned up.

Tyre stood at the entrance to the park. His mind was poring over locations and he was still having trouble deciding. Well, it would be up to her. He noticed some tension in his stomach, then laughed. He was nervous! It had been a while.

He was dressed in capri pants, a tan, button-up shirt, dress shoes, and two diamonds studs in his ears. He figured if he was going to do the damn thing, he should do it right. Now for his date to show up.

[ATTN: Open]

Over the next week, Camille had been decidedly honing her skills and, more importantly, getting to know Lucy, her room mate. She didn't want a room, really, and now she had gotten one, what a turn of events. Everything was looking up for her, and she wasn't about to question why, as she returned from the practice room with a sweat broken out. Her half of the room was a pastel green, with many sorts of little imprints and intricacies, swirls and other things that made her room just that extra bit more extravagant. Her bed was 'natural', in the sense that the frame was green and the sheets made it look like she was sleeping in the grass. There was a desk with a rather new computer, rather because she had bought it a couple years ago but the charge had run out... well, a couple of years ago. She needed to get a new one. Camille was satisfied with everything... and so, she had turned to crack the nut that was Lucy. Despite being roomies, Camille hadn't been in long for that kind of stuff, and she really DID want to talk about that kind of stuff.

"Lyyyyrraaaaaaaa, Areeennns-" Astrid called, she wanted to leave soon. Sure, she didn't want to be early, but Alex was supposed to be driving them their because he was the only one with a means of transportation outside of black magic.
Astrid, herself was all ready. Dark hair coiffed and shiny, lips adorned with a dark shade of red, heels clicking against the floor and a black dress that accentuated her figure.

She really possessed one 'fancy' outfit and had managed to hide any stains it might have acquired over the years- and this one was only truly useful for clubbing or dates. But it did its job well.

She peeked her head into her shared room, looking for one of the girls meant to be her arm candy.

Livia looked up from the television, still in sweats and a tank top. "Oh," she said, surprised at her getup. "How early is this party starting?" She stood up, glancing back at her closet uncertainly. She hadn't brought any nicer clothes with from home, and her dress clothes... they were all Israeli. She loved them, but they tended to draw negative attention she didn't care for.

Astrid examined her, raising an eyebrow. "The party itself doesn't start until ten, but we're supposed to be meeting a friend of mine earlier- unless you want to arrive at the party via mystical, glowing portal."
She stepped into the room, happy that she at least didn't smell from earlier.
"Now, do you have anything to wear or will I have to find something for you?"

She hesitated. "No, nothing at hand," she said. "Everything nice I have is at home. I can always get it but it'd take a while."

She stood up from the floor, leaning over to turn off the tv. She still liked to sit inches from the tv, like she was a child again.

[ATTN: Tyre]

He was dressed in capri pants, a tan, button-up shirt, dress shoes, and two diamonds studs in his ears. Aeirrya found it odd to see him in such clothing. It's most certainly not his usual wear, but Ae was quick to figure that these human date ceremonies generally consisted of wearing different clothing.

She looked down at the dress that she had taken and altered on her own. It was made from both clothing of Earth and of Esseria. She had taken a gown that she had found in a cheaper store and butchered it, along with one of her own Esserian styled clothing...it looks...interesting, to say the least.

She had tried to find shades and hues of purple to compliment each other, but she ended up with both a pale purple and a pale beige, the beige matching her usual attire on Esseria--but it was the beige that was Earthen, this time. It just felt so odd to wear.

She found her way to the park with no difficulty, looking at him with intrigue as she digested his own clothing, unable to feel anything but awkward to begin with. This most certainly is odd--and nothing like Esserian dating, to be sure. She walks towards him slowly, her hands behind her back.

"Good Evening." Ae says somewhat hesitantly, "I was told that we are invited to...a party--by Astrid. She gave me these and said that it is at ten."

She removed her hands from behind her back, revealing the small things given to her by the somewhat cynical-looking girl. She tilts her head to the side, waiting to see what he says.
