Lilianna's Protection

Role-Play Rules:

1. Follow the GtR Rules.
2. Follow the RP Guidelines, except for that God-modding is allowed.
3. You can join or leave this role-play at any time.
4. You can switch characters at any time.  
5. You can have multiple characters.

Registration Explanation:


You are a summons!  (You can be a difficulty class from levels A - F, the earlier levels being the more powerful creatures.) A creature of any kind that has any sort of various abilities!  Your goal?  To protect Lilianna at any cost and keep her alive.  She will be entering the Terror of Sin and should she succeed, your power will grow.  However, there are some key things you should note.


  • You can be summoned by other summoners (NPC's), but will be weaker, if you do.  (Level of weakness depends on the NPC.)


  • Lilianna can only summon one summons at a time, physically.  In other words, only one can fight for her at a time.


  • Lilianna can speak and communicate with all of her summons at any time telepathically, so long as she has their focus.


  • Each summon must have a focus (held by the summoner) in order to be summoned.


  • You cannot have more than 5 different varied abilities.  (Feel free to inquire for clarification of this.)


  • Every summons must have a history explaining how it became a powerful summoning creature.


  • Every summons has at least three contract details.  (Such as, refuse to be summoned during the day, ask for money, have a goal in return for services, etc.)


  • You must be willing to lose and/or be weakened by an enemy and hand your enemy over to another if they are truly your weakness or if someone else would like a chance, on occasion.

Summons History: Pyralis came of a race of Phoenix now long extinct. She contracts with few and shares little. To date, none know of her origins or have seen her true form.

In the case of Lilianna, one night as she was in a town, it was attacked and razed by a horde of fierce monsters. By the time the smoke cleared, most of the village lay dead or dying. Lilianna could only watch in sadness as the people mourned. As it would happen, Pyralis' spirit was passing through and was drawn by the call of the mourning. She sensed in Lilianna someone capable of wielding her power. Offering her a chance to save these people, Lilianna was granted a feather from her, temporarily allowing her to summon her. Summoned, Pyralis enacted her magic and brought the village back from the dead. Lilianna slept for a week thereafter.

However, recognizing a powerful summons and remembering snippets of the song that had been sung by the Pyralis' arrival, she sought information about the one who had helped her, finding and piecing together the song of mourning, to which she sang, beckoning Pyralis to her. Pyralis, though impressed, only reticently agreed to contract with her. Thus was their tenuous partnership formed.

Focus: A necklace of human teeth
Physical Abilities: Superhuman strength and speed, though she is not a trained fighter. The scales on the lower half of her body are as hard stone and are very difficult to pierce.
Magical Abilities:
-Siren Song: Thelxiepeia can sing a song that mesmerizes all who hear it and leaves them hypnotized, causing them to stop whatever they’re doing and wait for her orders. It is possible to break free of the spell, but this tends to cause madness of varying permanence.
-Cannibalism: Consuming her fallen enemies recovers damage dealt to Thelxiepeia and gives her access to one random ability of theirs that can be used once and only once.
-Control Tides: Thelxiepeia has control over water, and is able to create floods, whirlpools, and storms. The strength of these depends on the body of water she is summoned near or in.
-Call Creature: Thelxiepeia calls upon the deep and brings forth a monstrous minion of her own from the depths of the ocean. This creature appears from the body of water she is summoned near, even when it appears it should have been physically impossible for said creature to have been in the body of water at all. The strength of the creature varies depending on the body of water she is near.
Contract Terms:
-I may only be summoned near a body of water (size is irrelevant)
-An offering of blood must be given when I am called
-I may not be given orders during battle

Summons History:

Thelxiepeia and her two sisters were once the princesses of a vast kingdom, and the three were notorious for their spiteful nature and their ruthless bloodlust. Rumor spread around the kingdom - that the sisters engaged in wild, extravagant parties, that they cared not who they spent the night with, that they lured serving men into their quarters to be killed, that they drank human blood.

The three sought greater power and the death of their father, so that they might together rule the kingdom, and so they found themselves a powerful sorcerer who promised to give them strength beyond their imagination and rule over the greatest kingdom of all. It was a trap, of course; the spell the sorcerer wove turned the three into sirens, queens of the oceans but freaks all the same, and they lost their kingdom and fled to the sea.

There they terrorized many a passing vessel for years, and in spite of their initial anger at their fate they grew used to and even enjoyed their new lives. For indeed no ship that passed their abode along the cliffs passed unscathed, and sailors began to fear the Siren's Rock, where many a sailor had been led to their doom to be devoured by the sisters. Finally the sorcerer came back, with a fleet, hired by a nearby kingdom to root them out. Thelxiepeia's sisters were both killed, but her life was spared - on the condition she become a summons.

Now she has eternal life and great power - at a cost.

Focus: A purple Cloak
Physical Abilities:
-Animal rider (ethereal horse or any animal he dominates)

-Ethereal body, cannot be harmed by physical means
Magical Abilities:
-Azure mist generation, a pale blue mist covers him completely and can focused into the shape of a sword or manipulated into blue fire to throw fireballs
-lesser being dominance, woodland creatures fall under his influence
-Summon Endeavor, his faithful ghost horse
-(ult)Consume mist, If ever in need The azure rider will direct all the mist he's generated to himself or his summoner, this will grant the summoner full vitality and life but it will not heal the wounds, its effects can be expanded over the course of 7 days and nights. As for himself he is only mist, to feed on the azure fog grants him more vitality the more mist is around him.
Contract Terms:

-You must give him back his cloak before he rides to battle, when he departs the cloak will be left behind for the summoner

It is speculated he is a descendant of the Alanjeh royal family
He's been known to use his powers of dominance to dominate stray house cats and dogs back to their owners.
Many people who entered the ruins of Alanjeh never came back, it's rumored he killed them all.
Summons History:
Once upon a long time ago, before summoning was widely known and mostly a secret art, there was a a great prosperous kingdom, known as Alanjeh. It was a marvel of its time, sporting beautiful architecture and culture in every street, being in the midland of the continent trade never stopped for a moment and the kingdom prospered evermore. At its head was the house of Agwyll powerful magus who pioneered many arts of magic, without their work the use of magical lights would never have met widespread-and unfortunately uncommon- use.
The wizards of Alanjeh we're pioneers of their time, crafting many a spell. When light and fire was mastered they focused on other arts: Controlling water for aqueducts, the wind to power their engines. The city only prospered more and more until eventually they became not only a trading hub but an empire.
Alanjeh focused itself into assimilating the surrounding kingdoms annexing many countries around it. Nearly nothing could stand in its terrible force, the powerful knights combined with the ever growing magus' at the back rank. Their armies tore  the continent asunder, until one particular day.
In a last ditch effort the free nations of the continent banded together and threw all their might at the beast of an empire. Desperate to end it in one last battle the house of Agwyll peered deeper still into developing more powerful spells and when the free armies arrived at Alanjeh the entire kingdom was engulfed into an azure cloud, the once prosperous city had decayed into ruin in a flash. The free warriors explored the ruin and found no survivors. However they did tell of a presence watching them, some said it was on horseback and wielded a blade, others said it manipulated the now azure fog that surrounded what used to be Alanjeh. The Azure Rider they called it, a horseback rider who was created out of tragedy and lived only to protect what was left of his homeland.

Focus: His necklace (The one seen on the appearance).

Physical Abilities: Enhanced physical attributes, Demon attribute (Defies certain human laws of physics such as jumping off of nothing, levitating or altering his trajectory), He also is incredibly proficient with his sword which he entitled Edge, due to its ability. While his demon arm, Impact, is mostly used for finishing blows, its large size allows easy grapples and easy crushing.

Magical Abilities:
Edge: Salem, with his sword, can apply Edge stacks that gradually make the victim slower and feel heavier as they accumulate. It can scale to the point of the victims body being to heavy for them to support themselves.

Impact: Salem uses his demon arm ability, Impact, to use up all the stacks of Edge on his target, basically causing a magical impact to all of the victims body, even internally. The more stacks there is, the more the impact is powerful. Salem has frequently blown up his opponents with this ability.

Royal Seal: This ability is only taught to those in the royal demon bloodline. It is basically a seal (magic circle) that a Royal demon can place on the ground (or any surface really) that when triggered, summons four obsidianpillars engraved with demonic runes to which are bolted searing chains that constrict and burn the victim. This seal is quite hard to break free of, it all being made of obsidian, the most resistant material (not to mention it is enchanted with demonic runes) of the underworld (Demon residence). Salem's sword is also made of this material. (without the burning, since it is caused by the demonic runes). He can have up to 3 magical circles placed at a time, and they are invisible to a being that is not royalty.


Contract Terms:

-Only she can touch his necklace.

-Do not summon on Holy grounds.

-If ever an angel is your opponent, I shall be summoned except if on holy grounds.


Summons Archenemies: Abigale, The Arch-Angel.

Extra Info: Holy grounds burn his body and scramble his thoughts, this is due to a curse put on his family by Abigale, in attempt to condemn his kind as evil, and theirs as good. Multiple kid and Halloween stories have been created, referring to him over the centuries.

Summons History: For his first few hundred years, beings of various kinds have treated Salem and his species as evil and only worthy of being dead. This was caused by the Angels, who double crossed them and used their trust against them to be the only worshipped beings.

Yes, they used to be allies, until Abigale, The Arch-Angel tricked him and his family, bringing them onto holy grounds, and cursing them, to forbid them from ever stepping foot in similar locations again. Thus giving them an evil image, of course with the help of Abigales false rumours about them.

Of course, when other species are chasing you with pitchforks and torches, you dont have much more of a choice than to retaliate. But somehow this evident fraud just became the thing. Demons were the species to hate.

Until Salem took action that is. A small town, being attacked by brigands was doomed to be burned down to the ground, along with many other atrocities, However, Salem being nearby, destroyed all the evil doers, saving the town folk. Sure at first he still wasn't really welcomed, and still hated, but he didn't let that break him down. The sole reason of his motivation being a young boy from that town who had walked up to him to thank him personally.

After that, Salem just continued helping out towns and even cities. Rumours about a "Good demon" started circulating and that was the start of respect, something he had never really experienced outside of his own side, he could travel without a hooded cape, without fear of being spat on or threatened.

However, Abigale quickly got wind of these rumours, and wanted none of it, it was unacceptable. So one day, in a field, in one of his journeys, He was attacked, by the arch angel herself, along with a few followers. It was the beating of his life, she was on a different level.

She left him, half dead, with a warning, probably mostly because she didn't want to deal with his parents, or else, he would have been long gone.

This however enraged Salem, she would pay. He did not give a damn about her warning, he would simply continue what he was doing, gain good notoriety, gain power, and eventually gain revenge. Though this time, he wouldn't be as easy to find.

Physical Abilities: Highly resilient, Rosary’s body heals supernaturally fast, and most wounds that would normally be fatal do not kill her. Rosary has a high threshold of pain. If Rosary consumes the corpse of a human after she has turned it to smoke and ash, her physical and magical strength will increase.  

Magical Abilities: Able to induce vivid visual and auditory hallucinations on others around her. They can be as simple as making an object appear, or as complex as completely changing one’s environment. She can only use this ability on those she’s aware of. She can also cause one to feel varying degrees of physical pain from dull and annoying to sharp and intense. Of course, the pain doesn’t mean the target is injured in any way.

Rosary can cause any object she touches to crumble and turn to smoke+ash over time. Objects that are protected by a strong magical seal are unaffected.

She can also exhale black fumes that actively reach for and consume her targets. Once the fumes have engulfed any part of the body, they instantly begin eating away at the substance until little is left or Rosary commands them to stop. The fumes can travel to their targets by flying as a thin wisp, spreading through the air like fog, or reaching out in the shape of hands. It’s been said that the fumes smell of hot tar, but this has never been confirmed.

Contract Terms:
-Taking the life of another is not allowed unless the life of the summoner is threatened
-The summoner must endure headaches while Rosary is summoned, unless the summoner has a deep connection with her  
-Rosary cannot be summoned over open water
Summons Archenemies: Summons that have an acute sense of smell as well as summons that use holy magic

Extra Info: Rosary hates long battles, so she uses her illusions and smoke to inflict heavy wounds early on and stops fighting when the opponent is close to death, assuming the opponent can die. She looks down on humans as lesser beings but treats them with respect nonetheless. Human cultures intrigue her, so being with new people brings out her brighter side. She even secretly fancies Liliana as her pet or child.  

Summons History: Much earlier in the history of humanity, one magical being of great power looked over the land, and monitored humans' progression as a race. One particular city disgusted the magic user, as many people acted maliciously toward each other, causing unwarranted pain and misfortune. In order to tackle this problem, the being birthed Rosary from the depths of a nearby volcano. He assigned her to listen to the cries of those that were heavily mistreated, and erase the humans that willfully caused suffering. With her purpose given, Rosary watched the city, making herself appear as an ordinary human. Whenever she found someone who was constantly mistreated, she would approach the person and instruct them to call her name out in the forest in the middle of the night. Only then would those that were causing the person pain would be erased from the world.

Soon afterward, disappearances of city members occurred, and word spread of Rosary's offer. Some believed Rosary was a deity sent to protect the people while others had the notion that she was demon who cursed the city and its people. Still, the city folk came to fear Rosary rather than praise her, causing some to act timidly out of fear that they would accidentally hurt someone. The city's life seemed to dissipate decade after decade as personalities withdrew and interaction between people decreased. The magical being then relinquished Rosary of her former duties, ordering her never to take the life of another again, unless the person in question was genuinely ready to give up their life. With this, Rosary stayed in the forests just outside the city, treating anyone who gave up their life there as a guest of honor before their swift eradication. The legend of Rosary's culling became folklore as the city grew and progressed, but there is an old saying that a dangerous spirit still lives in the forest.

Appearance: LXXI is a well muscled short 4ft 9in African warrior in his mid thirties, with a body covered by magical runes and ritual markings that glow. Due to this World's colder climate he wears heavy robes. Sometimes he wears a mask that gives him an artificial face, a symbolic representation of his non-human origin.

Physical Abilities: Normal Human Capabilities. Skilled warrior/combatant trained in Spears/Axes/Staves/Shields and other similar type weapons.
Magical Abilities: Linking - the ability to bond to other magical and magic using creatures, there by allowing them to utilize each others magical abilities.
Transmutation Magic: The ability to change the shape and form of non-living matter, and even combine/alter base materials to make new objects from them.
Runic Language Mastery: LXXI understands all Runic Languages both Magical and Mundane, and much of his magic uses Runes in it's spell-forms and circles.

Summons Archenemies: Sufferia, Retho.
Extra Info: LXXI is a fairly bizarre Summons whose only shrine appeared one day outside the Tower of Sin. Inside is a life like statue of the Summons. On the Statue's right side is a White Stone Monolith, which bears the names of all summoners that he is contracted to. While on the left side is a Black Monolith which records the deaths of all such individuals and any others that perish inside the Tower of Sin.
Summons' History:
LXXI before he became a summons was originally what is known among magical practitioners as a Simulacrum. This means that he originally was created as a vessel for the spirit of another creature to inhabit, usually after they had died. However his creator suffered a near death experience and though he didn't die a tiny portion of his spirit was lost in the process and animated the construct. LXXI's creator Retho, instead taught his 'child' magic and put it to work as his assistant.
In time the creation whose name was then Femaust, was sent out on various errands and projects for his Master. During one such project he was hunting after food for his Master's Supper and was critically injured by a Boar on the island. That was when the Entity known as Sufferia took interest in Femaust. She transported him into her personal Labyrinth, healed his injuries and sat back to watch his actions in this contest of intelligence and death. At first Femaust believed Sufferia was his savior and that he had a second chance at life if he completed this challenge. Eventually Femaust met other captives, and tried to help them to the best of his ability.
He overcame many challenges through utilizing his surroundings and his intelligence to solve them, when that failed he fought. Many of the challenges however had distinct advantages against normal means, so taking the muscle route often wasn't as useful as it would at first seem. It also became apparent that Sufferia found enjoyment in testing Femaust's creativity and ingenuity. After sometime, he eventually met and communicated with other captured spirits and creatures of Sufferia's realm. Sufferia eventually started taking advantage of Femaust's nature and set him to create challenges for other member's of the labyrinth. As time went on and Femaust gained insight of what was really going on, he eventually managed to overcome Sufferia. Binding her in a trap using the powers of other spirits and his own magic, Femaust was able to gain their freedom.
The victory however took it's toll on Femaust and only due to the numerous bonding he had done to the trapped Spirits did his own spirit survive. His original body, the one that had been made by the hands of man, perished to fuel the spells to bind Sufferia. Femaust's Soul however was maintained by the Spirits he had saved, and it was these spirits that transformed that once mortal soul into a Spirit much like themselves, a Summons.
Though Shiva and Quetzalcoatl where but two of the Spirits saved, they all consider the Debt for Femaust's assistance in their escape paid. After all without their aid, his soul would have simply sputtered out and ceased to exist, a fair trade in their eyes.

Having managed to earn a true form of freedom, and even escaped the fear of non-existence, he left Sufferia's Realm. What Femaust didn't know is that he would end up in a completely different world then his own. One thing he did understand was his duties as a Summon Spirit, and so he created a place were he could assist those in need. The most important place he could find was the Tower of Sin, so that's where he set of shop, well actually a shrine. When he carved in his Self-Rune above the Doors to his shrine, he unintentionally ended giving himself a new name. The local people mistook the numbers as Letters and started calling him by Lix-E. So instead of taking insult, he decided that it was fine by him. After all he was changed from his time with Sufferia, so a new name just made a certain amount of sense.

without the skull, or mask. Her eyes are a grey/ silver. They're always focused straight ahead. Focus: Her focus is the small silk hat that she's wearing in the picture.

Physical Abilities: She is a skilled fighter, able to use a doubles blade and many different types of swords. Physical contact is not often necessary with her ability to manipulate energy. She evades attacks, rather than blocking them.

Magical Abilities: Runa can teleport instantaneously into the shadows she can also create blasts of energy. Her blood is toxic, burning or poisoning those who touch it if she were to be injured. She is able to sense the energy surrounding other people and objects once they are within normal, human sight range. Then, teleporting away and blasting energy their way. It does not equate to having perfect sight, as she is only able to see shapes.

Contract Terms: She can only manipulate existing energy, she can not create it. In return for protecting Lilianna she asks for nothing. Though, she can only be summoned during the night. She also can not be the first to strike her enemy. She can not destroy objects unnecessarily.

Extra Info: To her, whether her actions were right or wrong was irrelevant. She did what was expected from a ninja. The same applies now. The only difference being that she is doing what Lilianna wishes, alone. She is cold and distant, almost emotionless.


History:
Summons History: Runa was once a mortal, far too long ago for anyone to know of her past. It was her mission to travel to her enemies' territory and blend in with the community. She'd then strike when the moment was right, setting fire to the land, assassinating leaders, and essentially destroying everything even if the situation did not call for it. She did not effect history, nor is her existence remembered. She was stopped by the witch before the situation spiraled out of control.

Her fait was altered when she encountered a witch who knew of her intentions and so, she tried to kill her. The witch stole her eyesight and cursed her with an eternal sentence of the responsibility of a summoner as punishment. Now, she does not have the freedom to cause destruction as she had before but is capable of even more, having gained abilities as a side-effect of the curse. She was summoned by Lilliana soon after and has been aiding her for a long time. She kills others ruthlessly and completing her job is now her main priority. It is her final mission.

Focus: An obsidian hairclip with small rubies on it.

Physical Abilities: - Able to fly very quickly.
- Can scratch through most surfaces with their claws.
- Their tail can act as a powerful whip.

Magical Abilities: - Hellfire: An explosion of fire shoots out from Elnor's body in all directions, damaging and burning anything nearby.
- Dragon Mail: Elnor and their summoner are protected from elemental damage for a period of time.
- Dark Mist: Elnor creates a mist which affects a wide area in front of them. It engulfs any enemies inside it, making them lose their sense of direction and slowly damages them. It also has a chance of putting the enemies to sleep.

Contract Terms: - You cannot summon them near water.
- You must summon them at least two days in a row.
- You must give them at least two orders while they are summoned.

Summons Archenemies: Any opponent that is water elemental and anyone who is a goody two-shoes.

Extra Info: They are very hot-headed and tend to rush into battle without thinking. It can be hard to get their attention while in the heat of battle. They hate being treated like a pet or having their small size brought up. People who are overly nice and sweet drive them absolutely crazy. The only summoner that they have ever liked serving is Lilianna and she is the only one they are protecting at the moment.

Summons History: It is said that Elnor was once a trouble-making human who got on the wrong of a powerful witch. The witch cast a curse on them which would cause them to become a summon after they died, and they would have to serve humans as a summon for as long as the human race exists.

It wasn't long before Elnor made some enemies which had them assassinated, and thus their life as a summon began. Throughout the years they have served many humans and detested them all, wishing they could just end their miserable existence. However, it all changed after they were contracted by Lilianna; they finally found someone who they wanted to protect.
