Guild Ties Registration Thread

Any and all are welcome to join, but non-posters will be ignored and the role-play will continue without.  Additional RP Info can be found here:

You don't have to be a magic user or a guild member, if you don't wish to be.  Additionally, your rank will be of your choosing, so long as you have a viable back story to have good reason for whichever one that you prefer.  Guild Ranks are F, D, C, B, A, and S.  (F is an unstable, less practiced ability and S is generally a Guild Master.)

Rules:
•  You may have up to three characters--each with no more than three separate abilities.
•  Follow the RP Guidelines & GtR Rules.
•  Be specific in your character creation--I want ability details and examples.  The clearer you can make it to me, the better.  If your ability is too vague, your character will not be approved.
•  All Guild Creation and Guild Masters should be first approved by me.
•  You must have approval to be of Rank S.
•  Respect the RPM.
•  Each character's magic ability must have a negative "side affect." (For each separate ability.)
•  Humans only, but physical appearance is not limited to realistic colors.  
•  All available alignments are:  Lawful Good, Neutral Good, Chaotic Good, Lawful Neutral, True Neutral, Chaotic Neutral, & non-blatant, evil characters that will not be any other PC's enemy.
•  If you wish to regularly use any NPC, they must be listed in this topic.
•  If you submit an NPC, you must be willing to relinquish control of the NPC to the RPM at any time.

Side Effect Examples:
Gray has the ability of "Ice Make," which allows him to make solid objects out of ice. However he has a couple side affects/character flaws that are based around his ability: He strips randomly and he has a difficult time with creating small animals or creatures of any kind.

Erza has the ability of "Equip and Requip," which allows her to summon her armor and weapons when needed, rather than carrying them around. However, it costs her a lot of money to purchase each suit of armor and weapon that she owns, as well as to repair them when damaged.

Mila has the ability of "chameleon," which allows her to blend in with her IMMEDIATE surroundings for a set time. However, she cannot change back to her usual appearance for up to three hours and her appearance doesn't shift upon environmental change.

Lucy has the ability of "celestial summons," but she happens to have made a contract with a celestial spirit that hates her guts and occasionally hits her, as well as her enemy with her attacks. Additionally, based on her contracts, some spirits cannot be summoned under certain circumstances or on certain days.

Natsu has the ability of "fire breath," but his power is limited in that he only has so much of his breath ability. When he runs out, he must eat more fire in order to continue to use his magic ability. Additionally, it has to be a "good" fire, because he is rather picky on his fire tastes. Additionally, he has extreme motion sickness and is incapable of using his magic effectively while on a ship, carriage, or horse.

The Nine Alignments:
Lawful Good, "Crusader": A lawful good character acts as a good person is expected or required to act. She combines a commitment to oppose evil with the discipline to fight relentlessly. She tells the truth, keeps her word, helps those in need, and speaks out against injustice and hates to see the guilty go unpunished.

Neutral Good, "Benefactor":
A neutral good character does the best that a good person can do. He is devoted to helping others. He works with Kings and magistrates but does not feel beholden to them.

Chaotic Good, "Rebel": A chaotic good character acts as his conscience directs him with little regard of what others expect of him. He makes is own way, but is kind and benevolent. He believes in goodness and right, but has little use for laws and regulations. He hates it when people try to intimidate others and tell them what to do. He follows his own moral compass, which although is good, may not agree with the morals of society.

Lawful Neutral, "Judge": A lawful neutral character acts as law, tradition, or a personal code directs her. Order and Organization are paramount to her. She may believe in personal order and live by a code or standard, or she may believe in an order for all, and favor a strong, organized government.

Neutral, "Undecided": A neutral character does what seems to be a good idea. She doesn't feel strongly one way or the other when it comes to law vs. chaos or evil vs. good. Most neutral characters exhibit a lack of conviction or bias, rather than a commitment to neutrality. Such characters think of good as better than evil--after all, she would rather have good neighbors and rulers than evil ones.

Chaotic Neutral, "Free Spirit": A chaotic neutral character follows his whims. He is an individualist first and last. He values his own liberty but doesn't strive to protect others' freedom. He avoids authority, resents restrictions, and challenges traditions. His actions may be unpredictable, but his actions are not random.

Lawful Evil, "Dominator": A lawful evil villain methodically takes what he wants within the limits of his code of conduct without regard of whom it hurts. He cares about tradition, loyalty, and order, but not about freedom, dignity, or life. He plays by the rules but without mercy or compassion. He prefers to rule, but is willing to serve and condemns others not according to their actions, but to their race, religion, homeland, or social rank. He is loath to break laws or promises.

Neutral Evil, "Malefactor": A neutral evil villain does whatever she can get away with. She is out for herself, pure and simple. She sheds no tears for those she kills, whether for sport, profit, or convenience. She holds no love of order and holds no illusion that following laws, traditions, or codes would make her any better or more noble.

Chaotic Evil, "Destroyer": A chaotic evil character does whatever his greed, hatred, and lust for destruction drive him to do. He is hot-tempered, vicious, arbitrarily violent, and unpredictable. If he is out for simply whatever he can get, he is ruthless and brutal. If he is committed to the spread of evil and chaos, he is even worse. Thankfully, his plans are haphazard, and any groups he joins or forms are poorly organized.

Alignment: Neutral - She cares for people, but is not involved in politics. She is just living out her life.

Symbol/Tattoo Location:  On her left forearm, visible only when she is Kaimele, not Clementina.
Desired Guild Rank:  not yet set (New to guild), but looking at C.
Appearance: Kaimele is on most people classify as gorgeous. She is 5’9 and with long black hair and sky blue eyes. She has a well-toned dancer’s body.  Look at the link below in the blue dress =)

Occupation (if any): Dancer and Farmhand/caretaker for Grandmother
Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Her magic ability is healing.  She is a very agile fighter.  She was trained by her brothers.  However she let that slide since moving away.
**Since it was asked for more details on her negative effects** Currently she is not a strong healer, so she cannot completely heal any life or death injuries. If there are complications to physical injures (such as poison or other things), she will take on those affects too. As she gets stronger, the more complicated injuries she can heal. Also the less the negative affects will damage her. She will never be able to regenerate any body parts. If an arm is cut off, it is cut off. As far as healing from magical damage. It is the same as the physical. So if she is trying to heal paralyze, she won't be able to move a body part. If she tries to cure blindness, her vision will be affected.***
Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies::  She is a dancer and also a farmhand.  They sell their items to the market.  She also knows how to cook and keep house.
History/Back Story: She grew up in a very tumultuous house. She is the only girl from a large family. Her brothers were always overprotective of her and that prevented her from having many close relationships. Once she became of age she moved away from them, wanting to become her own person. She keeps in contact with her youngest brother and parents. She changed her name and fled to the Sarrice Kingdom where she lives with her grandmother. Under her grandmother’s tutelage she discovered her healing magic. She now lives on her grandmother’s farm outside of the city and takes care of her and the farm. She does get into the town where she entertains the people with her dancing. She uses a fake stage name when she dances, Clementina. She also uses wigs when she is performing, to hide her true identity. She also hides her beauty when working on the farm and when she isn't performing.  She just joined Star Sound.

Symbol/Tattoo Location: The symbol and tattoo of Valoria rests on his face, around his left, yellow eye. When his eyes is closed, the guild symbol is "complete."
Guild Rank: S
Appearance: Tall, broad-shouldered with one green eye and one yellow one. He has a long scar that runs from the outer corner of his right eye down across the bridge of his nose and down to his left jaw line. His black hair is extremely long--generally kept in a simple ponytail. He's always seen with a serious face--rarely smiles.
Home Country: UMS
Occupation (if any): Street Fighter for Valoria and competes in general tournaments professionally of various genres.
Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Jacobi has the magical ability known as "Eye of the Beast King," which grants him the ability to induce primal fear, despair, and dread into a target. The target(s) will experience things such as hallucinations, coldness, shivers down the spine, goosebumps, the overall feeling of "wrongness" on all levels, possible paralysis, and other such symptoms than can be brought on by fear.

This ability works best through eye contact, but it is not required. The stronger affects, such as wanting someone to flee, would require this eye contact with the target. However, merely looking at someone can induce the lesser powers. (Chills, goosebumps, etc.) The most targets Jacobi can affect at one time is generally thirty-forty people.

Additionally, he has been banned SPECIFICALLY by both councils to have or own any physical weapons of any kind. Period. Ever. However, he is very well trained in street fighting. Note: Jacobi generally keeps his yellow eye closed so as to not use his power constantly and without control. (This ability CANNOT be turned off.) Due to this, it causes vision issues, such as depth perception and the causing of fighting "tilted." This causes a blind spot until his eye is opened again.
History/Back Story: Jacobi is a former of the UMS Council Security Force. He has guarded the former members of "The Unfortunate Thirteen." He has participated in several large-scaled battles (including a war) under their authority. As his power has grown, he has become more prominent within the common knowledge of not only his guild, but the councils and the general population of non-magic users. His reasoning for retirement from the SF was to join the creation of the Guild Games. He enjoys the ambitions of his guild and is often one of the main model fighters, both within Guild Games and without. (It is not uncommon that he 'challenges' the younger/newer members of Valoria--presumably to 'increase guild strength.')
The cause of the scar upon his face is unknown, the story changes often and generally depends on the amount of liquor he has consumed. His guild buddies do generally like him, finding him to be fun, outgoing--but serious and somewhat cold the moment a battle or challenge has begun. It is almost as if he is two different people.

Appearance: Daison has shoulder length chestnut brown hair.  He is about 6 ft tall and 165 lbs.  He does have some muscles, but not a lot.  He has almond shaped light brown eyes.  *May post pic later*
Home Country: Unknown
Occupation (if any)::  He is an archeologist.  He is currently only at Sheherazade between digs.  Newer people there know of him, but have not seen him that often.
Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any):  He can fight if necessary with a crossbow.  He is agile and has knowledge of getting out of traps (there are a lot in sites).  His magic ability is Memory Trace. He can, upon contact with a relic or object, recall memories of object and people surrounding it.  He doesn’t just 'remember' it, he experiences it.  He is sent to that moment in time, mentally, as if he is standing right there.  He can also take a small group of people with him like 3 others tops.  He and the group are not physical in that time period, only observing.  

The drawback is that his body, and those of others are totally vulnerable in the present time.  They are frozen and unable to defend themselves if attacked until they come back.  It also exhausts him, even more when ‘traveling’.  The people need to be within close proximity to him and the object.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies:  He is an avid reader and story teller.  He is a published author, and historian.  He obviously loves to travel and is knowledgeable of other cultures.  He is very curious and has been known to pry.

History/Back Story: Daisan does not know his real family.  He was dropped off at the orphanage in Sarrice as a young child.  When his ability was discovered, as a young child, the mistress introduced him to Rex.  He split time between the guild and the orphanage until he became of age.  He was the unofficial mascot until he grew up.

He was not an actual member of Sheherazade until he became of age.  A few years ago.  The mistress gave Rex a medallion that Daisan had on him upon his arrival.  However Daisan has never seen or touched it.  He is sociable, but private about himself.  He has been on digs with the members, but not on dangerous missions.

Symbol/Tattoo Location: Left thigh.

Desired Guild Rank: C

Appearance: Long golden blonde hairs that are always tied up in two ponytails, one on each sides. Her eyes are of hazel brown color and is about 5'4''. Her clothes usually are mid-long skirt and t-shirt and she also like wearing gloves. Although since she often end up in ruins or other things like that, she always have with her some kind of loose and unattractive brown one piece suit in her bag as well.

Home Country: UMS

Occupation (if any): Find more about old ruins and artifacts, mostly for her research, but also because she's a freak of these things. Not often seen at the guild actually, except to pick info on new site to explore actually.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Knowledge. A power to randomly get info on others such as their name, their biggest fears, obsessions, weakness, secrets, ect. However she does not control the info she'll get and need to touch the person. She always however get the name of the person and often randomly start speaking to people like she have met them before and them backing away from the girl.

ADD ON : During the story, she also started to have such reaction with object, mainly after the storm raze thing happened. She also got a mark from a powerful clan who are now merely spirits of some sort. But she does have a connection with them through that mark and it is the very source of the storm raze.

**Will most likely add on new things in relation to that power after I speak with leah a bit later =)**


**Since this ability is a passive one, she will also have a weapon, a fighting staff. (very much like the one of Aang from avatar or whatever others you can think of.)

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies:She is one of the best when it comes to explore or dig into some kind of ruins. She also love making experimentation in her lab wether it is on object she found or else. (might add on to that after I re-read some old post, if I forgot anything. Of course with permission from leah to add on to it if I remembered some stuff after =p)

History/Back Story: She originally comes from the UMS from a family of merchant. Although she truly didn't want to become a merchant herself and started to study with books about old civilisations, artifacts and other things like this. When she learned there was a lot of ruins site to explore in the country of Sarrice Kingdom though, she went there. Her parents did encourage her to and she moved to her uncle's place in Sarrice kingdom. This one showed her to use a fighting staff as well and Ryla was learning it quickly. Although she never really mixed this well with people sadly as they all thought she was a bit... weird.

As she often went into the ruins and always seemed to find her way in better than anybody as well as making extremely good finding, she was approached by the Sheherazade guild and they offered her to join. She accepted, buut... it was mostly to get more info for her research. Thing is she doesn't always give them what she found right away, she always need to make research on the stuff. Kyla have now a lab within her uncle's house. This one having almost an heart attack every time she blow something up or suddenly make too much noise.

Symbol/Tattoo Location: On the top of his right hand.

Desired Guild Rank:  A (Guild Master, but he's not an S class as he's still learning.)

Appearance:He is about 5'6'' and have a build that is rather normal/May look delicate even. Costume wise he would be pretty much like the costume on both of the pictures, the first one showing well how everything looks, but would have the hair and eyes color of the second.

Home Country: Sarrice Kingdom.

Occupation (if any): Mostly his duties as a guild masters and going into missions to help spirits or people alike. He puts others over himself for most time. When he does have free time however, it is spent mostly into researching new spells for those who are weaker to help them out if they were in danger.  He also loves to play violin or the flute when time allows it.

Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any):As said in the other section of non combative, Ryushi and see and interact with spirits and spiritual creatures. He have no physical combat abilities other then random hitting something that may attack him. He is able to make powerful spiritual barriers though, but he doesn't like using it unless his life is in danger since it might affect weaker good spirits around. Although even today he have trouble fully mastering it, he is able to seal evil spirits as well, but depending on the strength of this one it sometimes need helps of others to accomplish. If he was to try and seal a powerful evil spirit on his own, he most surely would faint from exhaustion. There is various spell circles that can be used to seal spirits and he know a few, but does not master them all. He also is able to track a particular spirit with a piece of paper holding some of his spiritual powers in, but results may be different depending on how precise his information may be. If he saw and felt the spiritual power of a precise spirit he will be able to track it with a high precision level, if he only have a description and felt the spiritual power from the places the spirit could have gone to/attacked, it may be more difficult.

Okay so to shrink down/clear some stuff :

- He see spirits and has exorcist powers toward evil ones

- Although his barier is meant to protect areas of evil spirit, it can also be used to stop attacks or he can do a reverse power to try and slow down something powerful, but under huge stress it could still be broken.

- I dunno why sometimes I said he was a healer, but its more like he knows how to give first aid and take care of people in need as he learned a lot from one of his trustee, so that is not a magical power.

- What I'm planning to add on to him is a pact with a spirit, but I still need more time to work on the spirit itself and the addition it will give to ryushi possibly.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: Have high spiritual energy and is able to see spirits and spiritual creatures that normal people may not be able to see. Ryushi can also interact with them fully, but that brought him in trouble more than once as not all spirits are good ones. He can play violin and flute pretty well and loves to when he have free time to himself. Ryushi have also good knowledge of how to treat wounds and most guild members want to be treated by him when they are hurt since apparently he is very gentle.

History/Back Story:Born in the Sarrice Kingdom, his mother was from the UMS and his dad from Sarrice Kingdom. His mother however died from complication when giving birth to him and his dad did his best to raise the boy alone. At the age of four however his dad body was found, the carriage he was in had fallen victim to a rock slide and his dad was not lucky. He was taken into one adoptive family to the next, but being a bit more aware of his surrounding as a child around the age of five, often he would point a corner of the room asking if this guess would join them or who it was. This strange behavior was one of the main reason why he was always moved from one place to the next. He was bullied a lot no matter where he would go, people having a hard time to understand his weird sides. Even as a teenager it was all the same, however he was starting to have more awareness of what he could do with his powers and even started to have spiritual friends from time to time. At the age of sixteen however he was attacked by something quite dangerous, an evil spirit that wanted to make him its pet and devour everyone around him. Some people had been on his way when he was being chased and he had to push more than one person out of the way. This is when he managed to create a barrier out of defense once he was cornered. It had been enough to repel the spirit at the time, but it brought him a lot of troubles due to what damage the pursuit had caused. He was accused for most of it and the family that was taking charge of him just had enough and threw him out.

He was scared and lonely outside alone, but after about a week in the streets with close to nothing in the stomach, a lady that appeared to be in her late thirty found him and shook him awake. ''Ryushi, Ryushi !'' With a lot of efforts, he managed to wake up, feeling weak. He only looked at her with confusion, even more when the husband of this one showed up after she called him. They help him up and brought him to the closest hospital to take care of him. They gave him food, new clothes to replace the wet ones and after some recovery, they told him they were family on his mother's side and they had tried to find him for quite some time now to welcome him in their home. They were kind and insisted to take care of him, they truly cared and it made him open up to them and finally let out this stress he had on his shoulder go out in tears. Ryushi gladly accepted to be part of their family and somehow managed to make friends after he moved to the UMS with them. He had helped those two friends with their spirit problem, one of them had a high spiritual awareness, just not to the same level as he did, but knew more into the topic exorcising spells. The other needed the help of magic circles in order to even see spirits if they were to walk in those. They both were studying music as well and showed him how to play the violin and the flute. More allies came on later which made it possible to be able to create his guild no later than last year when he was twenty-one. In that same period of time he finally came to tell his adoptive family about his powers, saying he didn't say anything before in fear these would go after them. But since he was now moving he felt it may be safe, they supported him and his choice, even offered a bit of starting money for the guild.

Their guild grew faster than expected and they were able to get a base for it about two weeks ago, a temple in the town of Aer between the borders of UMS and Sarrice kingdom. Ryushi thought this would be a perfect area due of it being right between the two places he lived and also due to the fact of it being the center of many other guilds which might ask their help when needed.

Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any):

Ballistician
Yuzu's unique magic ability, "Ballistician," allows her to manipulate... well... ballistics. Specifically gunpowder.
-Can secrete empathic gunpowder from the pores of her body.
-Can control gunpowder on a kinetic level to spread out away from her for distance detonation.
-Can ignite her gunpowder at will, creating explosions or thrust.
-Immunity to the effects of explosions. Meaning her body is naturally highly resistant to heat and impact damage.
-Can sense her gunpowder due to its empathic nature.

Yuzu's abilities are powerful, but aren't without their drawbacks.
-Explosions are still loud, leading to her having to wear earplugs.
-Humidity and Rain weaken gunpowder abilities (rendering Yuzu too damp or wet to properly generate her gunpowder).
--Using her abilities underwater or in severe downpour is virtually impossible.
-Explosions cause fatigue. Smaller explosions cause less, but build up over time. Larger explosions are particularly draining.
-When using her gunpowder as a means of tracking someone, she can't discern their exact location.
--She can tell what direction they're in, relative to her, and if she's close or not.
--If her mark somehow gets wet, her ability to track them will be greatly diminished, if not totally removed.
-Yuzu's explosive powers require emotional control. Otherwise she risks creating far more dangerous explosions than intended.
--She could even potentially cause explosions entirely by accident.

Yuzu's fighting style can be described in a number different ways, depending on her mood. Generally she'll operate cautiously, preferring to keep her distance and bait her opponents into explosive traps, or tricking them into positions where they'll take a bullet for their trouble... literally. However, she's also an adept Feint Fighter, with an emphasis on rushing physical attacks, using feints and other evasive tactics to get in, and do as much damage as possible in short intervals while staying on the move to avoid being hit, and get out. She accents this with her own unique combat method, "Ballistic Brawling," which is a style of physical combated invented by herself, infusing her punches, kicks, and other movements with explosive force. She likewise uses this technique to propel herself at breakneck speeds, and more. Put plainly, she can either enhance her punches and kicks with the force of a cannonball, or cause minor explosions at the end of her attacks. Her signature seems to be the "Firework Dash," which is literally a quick dash in which she rockets herself forward. When unable to use her Ballistic Brawling style, she's an adept kickboxer and is highly acrobatic. She's also rather clever and inventive with her abilities. By using her gunpowder as a propellent, she can pull off a number of unconventional tactics, and often does. Particularly when in a pinch.

As an unrelated, more comedic downside, Yuzu will often seem to lack the motivation or energy to do literally anything when on an empty stomach.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies:
Outside of fighting, Yuzu considers herself a fairly boring person.
-Yuzu is a fairly good hunter, given her upbringing.
-She's a surprisingly good storyteller and seems to enjoy telling kids stories as much as they enjoy hearing them.
-Her ties to Metalworkers and members of the Ferrum Guild have led to her scavenging for parts and mining for minerals that she can trade.
-Yuzu is a big eater, though this is offset by her being a terrible cook. Which is why she constantly needs money. She needs to feed herself, and her own food tastes terrible. She can't help but burn everything, for starters. The only thing she's capable of making competently is noodles.

Personality:
At face value, Yuzu is a dismotivated slacker. Though this is easily a vast oversimplification of who she really is. She seems almost determined to get through life with as little difficulty and drama as possible. She tends to be a bit irresponsible, and can come across as aloof, not at all caring about the far reaching consequences of her actions. In fact, she hardly seems to take anything seriously. She does whatever seems like a good idea at the moment. That said, Yuzu's abilities are quite indicative of her personality. Simply put, she's rather irritable and, under certain conditions, extremely hot-blooded. If something does inspire any level of passion from her (like fighting), she becomes far more spirited. Ironically, however, very little inspires her genuinely (and literally) explosive rage. Usually if angered, the best you'll get is more composed than one would expect. Save for a few specific berserk buttons, she tends to be more of the quietly angry sort. Part of this is due to her need to control her emotions in order to keep herself in check. And part of this is simply her dismotivated personality type, telling her that getting angry simply isn't worth the energy. As such, she'll usually come across as irritated or mildly annoyed, at worst. More often than not her response is sarcasm and other snarky comments. She's not fond of those who are overly cheerful or energetic, as a general rule, though there are exceptions. It also agitates her to be hit on, as she's been subjected to far too many hollow attempts to flirt with her. And those who can't take a hint just make it worse, particularly in the case of men, as many have persisted in pursuing her despite her making it very clear that she "plays for the other team."

Chief among those things that truly draw Yuzu's ire is the aristocracy. She's very incredibly annoyed by higher society, and generally wants as little to do with it as possible. Her personal experiences with people in higher positions has been anything but positive. She's met far too few decent people in high positions to believe they're anything but an outlier. Most of them seem to convey a sense of superiority that irritates her to no end. As if they feel those beneath them are obligated to care about their station. And she's especially unfond of those who parade a title around, despite doing nothing to earn it. Those born into influential roles are seldom in her good graces.

Yuzu is blunt, boyish, and generally rough around the edges, but does maintain a vaguely softer side. She has a weakness for youth, even overriding her contempt for high society. Particularly because she recognizes that arrogance taught. So it's still possible to teach them not to be so. Furthermore, she tends to lose her composure around food, particularly if it looks especially appetizing. More often than not, her dialect will reveal itself in these situations. Because she's not good with words, or especially deep emotions, expressing more significant gratitude or greater depths of affection is difficult for her. It often leads to her being irritably bashful, as a result.

History/Back Story:
The Chitanda Clan was never exactly fondly looked upon. However, recent history has been marred by some of the worst fortune the family had endured in generations. Several failed heads of the household, through their pride and foolishness, led the clan to its ultimate downfall. Eventually the once respected, and wealthy Chitanda Clan became something of a laughing stock with hardly anything to its name. To no one was this more apparent than their latest successor, Chitanda Yuzuki. Born just before the Clan's total collapse, but being just old enough to remember it happening, Yuzu was mocked throughout the majority of her childhood for simply being a part of her family. Yuzuki grew up resenting higher society, and people who seem to think they're important, particularly as they all turned on her father when he needed their help, just before things hit their lowest point. Her father was a notably more humble man than the previous generations, and raised her to the best of his ability, making certain to provide for her as best he could, and educate her on how to make it in the world. Seeing this, Yuzu came to the ultimate conclusion that status isn't important. Her family once had it, but the instant the luster was gone, those still comfortably at the top of the food chain turned on them. She began to view status as corrupting and stupefying. A pursuit that renders those unfortunate enough to attain it arrogant and foolhardy. Thus she made up her mind never to pursue status, preferring to remain humble. And so she did.

In her early teens, however, is when she first heard this nickname - "Heiress of Failure." Something about it sat poorly with her and she flew into a rage. It wasn't merely an insult towards her or a family name that meant nothing to her. This was an insult as much towards her own father as anyone. And that would not pass. She pummeled the child to within an inch of his life, realizing her abilities then and there. She was eventually convinced, by her father, that her abilities would open many more opportunities for her. Opportunities she could use to support herself more easily. Loathe though she was to admit it, he was correct. Particularly if she could get any guild work. She decided that she would leave their small home and head out to make a living for herself so she could come back and make life for the two of them a bit easier. Not because of status. But because the man always showed her that he worked incredibly hard, and he wasn't getting any younger. He deserved to benefit from it all. That and she felt that she owed him a great deal for raising her at all. Despite this, Yuzu seems rather set on not going out of her way to really stand out much, just doing what she can to earn money and the like so she can provide for her dad, since he'd always done the same for her. In fact she seems to actively avoid doing anything to garner attention. She doesn't want to have any kind of reputation. Honestly she'd prefer not to really be remembered at all. So she goes out of her way to not be.

Yuzu is ultimately an outsider with a rather cynical perspective towards those living more privileged lives. While she doesn't resent them all to nearly the same level as those who go out of their way to dangle their status over the less fortunate, her opinion of them is still low. Of course, she's also a loner who trusted few people, other than her father, for anything. She doesn't much care for all the rules and regulations or any structure that makes things more complicated than they need to be. Another product of her simple upbringing is her fondness of simplicity. In her travels, she took to hunting and scavenging for pocket change, which often led her on trips to and from Ferrum, where she got to know a handful of metalworkers, and has made a few friends. It was they who referred her to Walsh.

龍神 [Ryūjin]
Ryūko is capable of manifesting a portion of her soul into a blade she refers to as Ryūjin. However, it has come to be known as The Dragon's Maw, to many, thanks to its energy eating properties. Ryūjin is a powerful blade that feeds on energy, making it and Ryūko stronger. When activated, the blade gives off an aura that allows it to absorb the energy of successfully blocked attacks, then convert it into spirit energy to increase it and its wielder's power (its sharpness and durability, her physical attributes). Anything from a bolt of lightning to a clash with an enemy blade. Or it can leech spirit energy directly from its victims, taking more energy, the more severe the wound is left (and, of course, taking all of it if they kill said enemy). Furthermore, all of the blade's built up life energy can be released, at will, in a powerful draconic aura attack that Ryūko calls Ryūjin's Roar, which gets stronger, the more energy is built up.

Ryūjin is a powerful tool, but as with any weapon, it isn't without its flaws
-Ryūjin is an extension of Ryūko's soul. If the blade is somehow shattered in battle, the result is usually Ryūko losing consciousness. Even if she does manage to stay on her feet, she'll be severely handicapped, and unable to summon the blade again without rest and time to heal. And even then, it hurts.
-Ryūjin may be an extension of Ryūko's soul, but it is a manifestation with its own will, in a sense. Should Ryūko's own force of will be broken, the blade could overtake her with its hunger for life energy, reducing her to an empty shell that the blade has control over, piloting her through her honed combat instincts.
-Ryūjin's Roar jettisons all of the built up life energy in the blade, reseting their power increase.
-There is an upper limit to the amount of energy Ryūjin can absorb at once. Exceeding it can shatter the blade... see the first bullet for why that's a particularly bad thing.
-In order for 'Dragon's Maw' to properly work, Ryūko does still have to connect with her blade, meaning she's very much in harm's way when trying to pull this. And not everything can be blocked - explosions and other AoE attacks, for example. Ryūjin can still absorb energy from unblockable attacks, but Ryūko would still be hit by them, which may render the act moot.

As Ryūjin is essentially a personification of Ryūko's soul, it she is capable of communicating with it when it's summoned. It can likewise speak to her.

Ryūko is incredibly well trained in the art of swordsmanship. She's particularly versed in styles originating from her homeland, known under the blanket term, Kenjutsu. While she doesn't seem to be better at any one style, than she is at the next, she does appear to hold a unique preference for sheathed-sword styles, Iaido and Iaijutsu. Ryūko ultimately emphasizes a highly defensive combat style to get the best out of her abilities. Rather than fighting aggressively, she uses her mastery of counter maneuvers to punish foes for being too aggressive by creating openings in their attacks and turning their own power against them. Ryūko knows her style means she has to be inventive in combat. For example, one technique she develops early on is triggering Ryūjin's Roar immediately after connecting a block. While the technique seldom does any real harm, it knocks her opponent back to provide an opening, if necessary. Ryūko has honed her guarding skill to an art form, as she's even created a number of irregular guarding techniques that allow her to guard against attacks in unpredictable ways.

Having been a shrine maiden (or, rather, in training to become one), once upon a time, Ryūko is still versed in many of the position's practices. She enjoys any chance to share this culture with those to whom she is foreign.

Ryūko grew up largely with a respected Samurai clan, and has long been groomed carried out many of the roles expected of a young woman in that position, despite her not actually being of the clan.

-生花 (Flower arranging) is a tradition of her culture, and a particular hobby of hers, though she enjoys gardening in general, as well.

Nihon-isms
While not hobbies, per-se, her heritage does lend to a few isms in her behavior.
-Ryūko refers to most people with honorifics. If she doesn't, it's assumed that the person she's speaking to is either someone close, or someone so vile she doesn't believe they warrant the respect, as it'd mean they were somehow human. She also tends to drop honorifics in very casual settings, except to those who warrant respect.
-Ryūko has a habit of bowing during greetings, farewells, and when expressing thanks or apology.
-She also removes her shoes when in a person's home, or entering someone's room in a Guild Hall.

Personal
Despite her attachment to her homeland, Ryūko does have a few hobbies and tendencies of her own, not associated with her heritage in any way.
-Ryūko is quite the reader, whenever she finds the time, particularly enjoying poetry. She also enjoys studying the histories of lands foreign to her.
-She enjoys any chance to view theatre in any form, liking the differences from across multiple cultures.
-Often times Ryūko can be observed feeding birds.
-She has a habit of teasing those younger than her, albeit lovingly, usually poking fun at their innocence.
-Ryūko enjoys word games and puzzles.

Personality:
Ryūko is many things. Chief among them, she's known for her loyalty, humility, and maturity, as well as her captivating elegance, warm and gentle voice, and patient frame of mind. Yet despite this externally demure nature, Ryūko is far from a wallflower. She can be firm, when necessary, and can take on a fearsome determination at the drop of a hat, when it comes to defending those close to her (especially Ryouma, Jubei, and their children), or accomplishing a goal that has great meaning to her. She is a warrior, and while she would prefer not to fight, she absolutely will, if she must. Yet even on the battlefield she's shown to still possess her qualities of grace and reserve, leading many to call her a "Lady of War" when shown the fullest extent of her capabilities.

Ryūko's heritage is of significant value to her. She takes pride in it, and relishes any opportunity to show the world what makes her home great, choosing to do so by acting as a living model of her home's customs and values. She is polite, and exercises the utmost etiquette in most any given situation. Furthermore, she is courteous, and can be quite enthusiastic when it comes to sharing knowledge of her homeland's history and customs. But she's also fascinated by other cultures, and revels in the opportunity to learn more about them, usually characterized by am almost childlike glee when discussing the subject.

Ryūko is a kind, remarkably down-to-earth individual, who many find easy to talk to, as she is a good listener, and is quite honest. She's comforting when appropriate, but her firmness becomes apparent when it has to, as some people need to be told a thing or two, more than they need someone to hold their hand. Even so, she seldom raises her voice. She tends to come across as selfless, often placing the needs of others before her own personal goals.

History/Back Story:
Hailing from Nihon, Ryūko comes from a small village, where she was raised on the traditional values of her people. However, she sought to take on the role of a Miko, rather than simply be the equivalent of sentient window dressing that knew how to cook and prepare the tea. She aimed to be more attuned to their land's culture. However, it was in the midst of her training that she was informed of a matter of dire importance - the village was under attack, burned to cinders in a brigand raid. Ryūko fled, among others, only to get separated from them. With minimal self defense training and low survival skills, she was doomed to drift, alone, hoping to stumble across civilization in time. What eventually happened was unexpected, but not at all unwelcome.

She was found by a traveling Samurai, who nursed her to health, and brought her back to his clan. On the way, she explained what happened. Everything and everyone she'd known was now gone, and at such a young age. So the samurai took the girl under his wing, saw to it that she was welcomed as one of their own, and trained as both a maiden (by his wife) and a warrior (by himself), much to the chagrin of other clan members who questioned letting a woman be a warrior. She eventually proved her worth, in spades, aiding her new father-figure on multiple occasions in his bid to defend the land from those who would do it harm. Unfortunately, all good things...

Conflict broke out between provinces. As a result of fighting between clans, their Daimyo was challenged to a duel by another, ultimately losing, and falling to his enemy's blade. What followed was a direct attack on their clan in an overwhelming battle. The thought of losing yet another family summoned forth a rage Ryūko had never before known, manifesting her abilities then and there. With the power of Ryūjin, she fought back alongside her mentor. But even her newfound might would only take them so far without the skill to properly use it. Her mentor instead demanded she run, reminding her that she had nothing to do with this fight, and that she shouldn't have to suffer the consequences of actions made by clans not her own. She refused but during the battle, was knocked unconscious as Ryūjin shattered against the might of an opponent's blow. She later awoke to find the town had been burnt to the ground in a much too familiar setting.

At first unable to come to grips with the fact that it'd happened again, she contemplates an incredibly dark act, eyeing a nearby wakizashi. However, at that moment she managed to once more summon Ryūjin, seemingly without meaning to. It was as if the blade was speaking to her. Her resolve found once more, she pulled through it, taking to a more solitary life as a Ronin until she met a man named Ryouma, and his wife, Jubei - a merchant couple who'd hired her to act as a bodyguard bodyguard. For three years they traveled Nihon, Ryūko taking the time to hone her new abilities and her swordsmanship. Eventually they were approached with a proposition for roles as investors, and a bodyguard in an expedition in a faraway land. Naturally they accepted, and some time later found themselves on a boat to a land called Braeguard.

The expedition turned out a decent profit for them all, and rather than return to Nihon, the merchants decided to remain in this new land, offering Ryūko a place in their home, as they'd all grown close. She accepted without hesitation, having become fascinated with this new land, and also wanting to share her own heritage with those of it. They've lived here for three years, now, with Ryūko often taking odd jobs as a guard or some such to make use of her talents and bring in money of her own, as to not freeload. She's been there for them to celebrate the births of both their children (to whom she's something of a godmother), their establishment of a small but profitable trader shop, and then some. It was also by their suggestion that she look into joining a Guild, certain they'd have use for her talents and probably be capable of paying her more, that she might have some pocket change of her own, instead of taking such minuscule jobs. As such, she immediately looked into the guilds, seeking out something that would afford her the opportunity to protect the people she cares about, and the place she now calls home.

Child of Arachne
Silk's magical 'ability' is more like a curse, making her a 'Child of Arachne.' As a result of this, not only has her appearance been altered from that of an ordinary human (with fangs, extra eyes, and a change of skin tone), but she's been granted spider-like abilities akin to Arachne's, including improved strength and agility, wall crawling, and the ability to produce her trademarked 'Spider Silk.' Her mystical webbing has a number of properties, including immense tensile strength, and extreme adhesiveness. She can spin her webs as thin or as thick as she needs - so thin to the point of being nigh-invisible without the right lighting, for example. Silk's webbing can be fired from her mouth, as well as the tips of her fingers in straight lines, wide sprays, and a variety of other forms, depending on what's needed in the situation. An oil generated from her own body prevents the silk from sticking to her, much as with a real spider.

Despite Silk's turn of the Arachne curse to work for her, it's still a curse.
-The Arachne web renders Silk hungrier, the more webbing she uses. However, this isn't something sated by a simple meal. It requires blood. Luckily the kind of blood doesn't matter, as long as she gets some. She's content to simply dine on animals, though she seems to imply having at least tasted otherwise, before. Though given her impish nature, it's entirely possible she's just teasing people gullible enough to take her seriously. Even so, it isn't that Silk needs food to produce her web. The webs are magic in nature. But this hunger grows if she continues to ignore it, soon turning into a distraction, and eventually an almost debilitating craving in a matter of hours of first appearing. If left unchecked for longer than she has the willpower to resist it (the longest so far being just shy of 48 hours), this craving can, and will consume her, setting her mind on autopilot until it's sated. And in this state, she is far from picky as to where she gets what she needs.
-Thinner webbing dissolves easily in water. All webbing is flammable.
-Silk's eyes are light sensitive. Especially bright environments are rather uncomfortable to her. And incredibly sudden flashes of bright light can be crippling to her, especially frequent ones.

Silk didn't get to where she is in life by being a pushover. Yet she's as clever as she is fierce.
Silk tends to not show the fullest extent of what she can do in combat, purely because most people don't threaten her as much as they might think they do. She often manages to use her cunning to catch people unawares, rather than directly fight, displaying minimal movement as to not exert herself on something "bothersome." She may even choose to humiliate them, rather than cause them harm, if she feels they need to be made an example of. However, when she decides to actually take things seriously and fight, her style changes drastically. Silk becomes a whirlwind, using her speed and agility to constantly stay on the move. While doing this she generally uses extremely thin lines of hard, sharp webbing to emulate wire fighting techniques. However, she also plays the long game, utilizing her movement to set nigh-invisible traps of thin webbing in useful places for her opponents to wind up lacerated by. When not wire fighting, she uses thicker webs to ensnare her targets and fling them around, or set them up to take a hit by hampering their ability to move. She also often weaves her webs into nets, cushions, and other crude, but useful tools, helped by her ability to harden or soften her webbing at will. Silk is extremely sensitive to her webbing. In environments and situations where she can't rely on her basic senses, she sets up extremely thin, nigh-invisible threads of her webbing around herself, creating something of a seismic radar to pick up the locations of others by reading the vibrations in the strings. She can similarly use this very kind of thread to eavesdrop on conversations, if she so desires.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies:

Fate Weaver
Arachne's webs are known as the "Webs of Fate." By reading them, Silk can divine the future of an individual. However, the process can take anywhere from one to several hours, and also requires an offering of the individual into whose future Silk will view. Usually an object of importance. However, she can take blood as well. While Silk is wholly capable of this skill, as it runs in her family, she very frequently lies about what she sees. Partially for her own amusement, and partially because she has no desire to deal with people who don't like what they hear... which is usually the case.

-Silk does seem to rather enjoy sewing and knitting. She actually makes rather elegant, sturdy garments, as well. She seems to grow genuinely irritated by those who don't take care of their clothing. Possibly taking personal offense that someone could be so rough to something that someone put so much work into making. Though this seems especially true for fancier clothing. She's actually quite the geek about fabrics, garments, and so-on.

Personality:
Silk is many things, and chief among them is 'not at all what she seems.' She comes across as ladylike, confident, and friendly, if a bit of a tease. However, this is only the smallest fraction of her true nature. A mask she wears when it'd be inconvenient to show the rest of herself. Silk is an impish, manipulative woman who enjoys not only teasing others, but toying with them completely by tugging on their emotions and perceptions, playing them into the palms of her hands. Anything to get ahead, though she's proven to not at all be above playing with someone entirely for a lark. Thankfully when she does so for fun, it's typically reactionary, and done towards someone she doesn't like, or has even unwittingly wronged her, in some way. To those she decides are her enemies, she is a merciless sadist, who makes it her mission to ensure their misery. And while those she likes are spared her spite, they're not at all free from her teasing. If anything, it only makes her tease them all the more. Even then, Silk doesn't form particularly strong attachments to anyone, knowing full well that a day may come where they die, or she has to plunge a dagger through their back. This is a product of her self-serving nature, and willingness to step on literally anyone if she feels it will benefit her in the grander scheme of things. She's shafted her ability to care about others in any real capacity, allowing her to rather shamelessly take advantage of those around her. Those safest are the ones of little value. If you have something she wants, it's only a matter of time before your usefulness shifts into the opposite direction, making you someone it'd be useful to get out of the way. If you're of zero value to her in either direction, she's liable to not bother even trying to take advantage of you. In fact, she may even treat you, and extend special courtesies to you. Even so, she does have her specific 'pets.' Those she enjoys keeping around because they amuse her, thus wearing the facade of considering them friends.

Despite appearances, Silk's nature isn't the product of an inflated ego. In fact, quite the opposite. Silk likes to think of herself as a realist. She carries herself in the way that she does because it's the most realistic means of achieving any kind of success. Magical buzz words about friendship and teamwork are splendid, but they're ultimately just a warmer kind of manipulation - and one she'll all too happily employ if necessary. Truthfully, Silk is just an extremely cynical person who plays a long game of survival. In her head, no one truly cares about her, so why extend the same courtesy? She doesn't particularly view herself as any better or worse than anyone else. Although she is rather irritated by those who do think themselves better than others in some capacity, and believe others should care about their delusions. She has no illusions that adherence to any law or code makes her more righteous than the next person, and certainly doesn't find that one's station equals superiority. She does what comes to her, and what she enjoys. She enjoys comfortable living, so she does everything in her power to secure a station where that's possible. Interestingly, Silk has a long memory, and never forgets when people do something for her. She repays her debts, despite the fact that this seems to go against her personal philosophy. However, she'll often regard the act as simply keeping things balanced, as to not owe people. Silk doesn't go out of her way to bring harm to those who don't deserve it. But she also doesn't exactly care if she does, tending to treat such consequences as collateral and little else. In truth, regardless of her knack for using people, she has learned not to expect anything from anyone, only ever truly relying on herself, in the end. If something doesn't work out, she cuts loose ends and moves on. She's cautious, and never puts all of her eggs into one basket. Or, put more plainly, she trusts no one.

Silk has an acute fondness of that which is cute. So much so that she collects stuffed animals, can spend hours on end, just snuggling small pets, and tends to be less mischievous towards kids, usually settling for harmless teasing that won't hurt anyone's feelings. Though if she perceives a child as expressly un-cute or detestable, they will not be spared her spite. When shopping, she goes out of her way to buy only the most adorable outfits they have in the store. She even has her meals prepared in cute dishes, more often than not. This goes hand-in-hand with her appearance. Because of the alteration to her physical body, as brought about by the curse, Silk goes well out of her way to doll herself up as much as possible, turning herself into the picture of a charming young lady. In fact, she's spent years making herself as appear as endearing as possible through constant grooming, and a few potions. Her original appearance was far less palatable, if her own stories are to be believed. This also extends to her romantic preferences, as she doesn't particularly care about gender, so long as she views the other person as "cute." This does tend to be something of a defeat for her, however, since she, herself, is rather small, being both short and small-framed. She can be quite the flirt, though honestly it isn't always easy to tell if she's genuinely interested, or using her wiles to manipulate someone, seeing as either way she's incredibly teasing, and playful.

There are few things that truly inspire Silk's inner malice on such a level that she'll have it out for you. Dirtying her clothing intentionally is one sure way to earn her ire. Declaring your importance over others as if anyone should care about your station is another way to certainly annoy her. Those who resist her manipulations are more confounding that irritating, though one does often lead to the other. She tends to be utterly annoyed by selflessness, or at least confused by it, usually to the point where she speculates ulterior motives just to justify the acts. But beyond all else, woe to those who call her, or compare her to Arachne. She deeply loathes that spirit, and will entertain no comparisons to her. Generally even when angered, Silk maintains a level of composure that causes her fury to come across as entirely calm. However, comparisons to Arachne are not tolerated in the same manner. Those unwise enough to do so will be witness to the true meaning of righteous indignation.

Essentially, Silk does virtually nothing that won't serve to benefit or amused her, in some way.

History/Back Story:
Madelyn's family has always had a knack for communing with spirits. They were supposed fortunetellers who were growing rather successful. They did so by turning to the 'Web of Fate,' woven by the Spider Queen, Arachne - a spirit whom they worshipped in exchange for her aid in their divination abilities. However, they grew fearful of Arachne and stopped relying upon her, instead conning people. Arachne grew angry with them as people began to find out and doubt her power. As a punishment for their faltered loyalty, she cast a hex upon them, cursing the entire family to become her precious children in the mortal world.

Madelyn's family underwent a drastic change, becoming heinous arachnid-people. Unable to comprehend the immense hunger that slowly began to overtake them, they began terrorizing villages. Madelyn, then barely old enough to comprehend what'd happened, witnessed as a mob of people converged on her home, dragging her family out to do away with them, for good. Alone, Madelyn drifted until she was discovered, only to be taken in by a rotten orphanage, where her appearance was taken as the early manifestation of her magic ability. She was used for her abilities by her peers, and harassed if she didn't comply, and abused by the caretaker, repeatedly told that no one would want her, and nobody cared about her. As the years went by, the orphanage fell more and more into disrepair, and soon she was the only child remaining in it. The caretaker continued to both physically and verbally abuse Madelyn, subjecting her to harsh beatings and vitriol. Meanwhile, as Madelyn grew, a feeling welled up within her that she couldn't explain. And eventually she understood. It was the hunger. When it first manifested, she did everything within her power to resist it, but the caretaker grew tired of her sluggishness and once again took to lashing out at her. Finally unable to take it any longer, and ever more unable to resist what Arachne had made of her, she murdered the old hag by draining every ounce of blood from her body with her fangs, killing two birds with one stone, and managing to not get found out.

Following those events, Madelyn was back on her own, eventually becoming a thief in a larger town, where she began honing her talent for manipulation. Eventually she didn't have to steal. She could simply convince people to give her what she needed. And soon she was an exceptional little manipulator, on top of having learned to take care of herself in a more violent way, if necessary. From that point forward, Madelyn used her talents to get everything she needed from others, adopting the monicker of 'Silk'. However, some were privy to her identity as the daughter of the family cursed by Arachne. As such, that name began to follow her as well. Yet her amicable persona, and the favors she'd done for others earned her a great many 'friends' in high places, and soon she was a fairly popular young lady around town. She set up a Fortunetelling shop, and used her natural talents to win over many influential people. Intent on securing her own survival, she decided there was strength in numbers, and took it upon herself to look into joining one of these guilds that were so popular.

Valkyrie
An ancient magic that amplifies the user's physical and cognitive capacities exponentially. It is activated by touching any weapon, giving the user intimate knowledge of the weapon as well as the skills and reflexes with the weapon as if they were born using it, as well as strategic battle knowledge. If separated from the weapon, they have a limited time to reclaim the weapon or grab another before the power disperses and they revert to their original form -- though they retain the knowledge about any weapon they've come into contact with.

Valkyrie increases what is already there on the wielder. Thus, an average human wielding the power would be pushed to the peak of human potential, while an athletic human would become superhuman. At the lower levels, there is a backlash, however, when reverting to normal -- all the worse the less in shape the person is. They experience fatigue and/or exhaustion depending on the duration and level of activity engaged while in Valkyrie. This becomes less as they get more adjusted and higher in level. Further, while as Valkyrie they are more durable and heal faster, the same cannot be said once they revert. Wounds that Valkyrie can shrug off may be debilitating -- or even fatal -- if the power disperses before they can heal to a certain point.

Their cognitive capacities are also increased, granting them exceptional reaction and processing speed, as well as improved senses, diminishing of needless emotions, raising of emotions better suited for combat/survival, and advanced survival/combat tactics knowledge.

This combination allows the wielder to fight as a combatant 2-3 levels higher than they actually are. Thus a rank D Valkyrie could stand a chance against, possibly even toe-to-toe with, a rank B or A user.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: Bookkeeping, languages, ancient languages, accounting, diplomacy, calligraphy, interior decorating, horse riding, knitting. Basically what a young noblewoman would be brought up in. She also plays the harp and can sing.

History/Back Story: Great neice to the king of Holstein. She was a favored neice and doted upon by both the king and queen. Sheltered, she grew up shy and demure, avoiding conflict and argument.

However, all of that changed one day when she had lunch with her liege. An assassination attempt was made; armed brigands had been slipped into the palace and made to kill the king. Sylmeria was terrified and huddled in a corner while the king did his best to try and stave off the brigands. One of the men made for the women and the queen pulled out two knives, one for her and one for Silmeria to defend herself to the last.

It was then that Sylmeria's lineage was revealed. A golden light flashed from her as the knife touched her hand and in an instant, she was making quick work of the brigands as if she'd been fighting all her life. However, they weren't enough to satisfy her battle lust and ten guards suffered at her hands before Sylmeria could regain control of herself.

It was the magic of Valkyrie, an ancient magic limited to the women of the royal bloodline and thought to have been lost. It terrified young Sylmeria, however, and she withdrew into herself. Unfortunately, her power made her a target. Other members of the royal family feared she'd be bumped up in line for the throne. Assassins and cutthroats assailed her. Fearing for their niece's safety, the king and queen sent her into seclusion. There, she was met with another attack and the house burned down.

Feeling she could not return to the castle and put further burden on her wonderful relatives, she disappeared into the night, determined to survive on her own. She went into the city and joined the local guild, though she hasn't been very successful due to her timid nature. Mostly, her room and board are covered for by the guild master, as she is great with records and his bookkeeping sucks. She is a favorite at the guild for her polite and sweet nature.

Magic Ability (if any):  Truthsayer Magic - Aurella's Truthsayer magic allows her to create an area of truth around her (range unknown) where any individuals within that area of effect are forced to speak only the truth.  Even attempting to hide the truth via omission or redirection almost always fails, as the truth is typically drawn out, anyway.  In addition, effected individuals are always compelled to answer any questions directed towards them by Aurella, specifically. Drawbacks of this ability are unknown.
Oathbinding Magic - Aurella can bind someone to obey a verbal contract that is willingly made with her.  The target cannot violate the contract, no matter the circumstances.  Only Aurella can cancel a contract that has been made with her magic.  As such, she often includes time limits for the contract to expire.  Drawbacks of this ability are unknown.

History/Back Story: Lady Aurella has been an avid hand in popular culture and diplomatic relations long before she established the Quinsenterra Guild.  When she did so, many of her friends and acquaintances from the nobility and upper-level society easily backed it with pride.  Lady Aurella has made her desires known with obvious intent to promote culture and refinement and she possesses an unusual amount of political clout and influence.  

For the most part, she leaves the members to their own devices, unless it interferes with her or her Guild's appearance/reputation.  At times, she can be overbearing and can force members of her Guild into positions or tasks that they would not normally wish to be a part of.  Quinsenterra is less concerned with Quest Completion or Guild Games as other Guilds are, preferring instead, to focus on class and diplomacy.  Many non-Guild members can be found in her company at her guild and the Guild hall is meant to hold many outsiders so that they may teach many the manners and polite society rules that they may or may not have learned in their lives beforehand.

Magic Ability (if any): Shield/Barrier/Wall Magic - Connor can create various walls, shields, and barriers.  His walls are generally around ten feet tall, 6 inches thick, and 30ft wide.  They are made from Connor's mana, which appears like a green, crystalline structure.  His shields look like a kite shield, typically, though they can also be simple, circular shields.  These structures are also green and crystalline in structure and can be used by others for a limited time.  Lastly, he can create barriers that form a hemi-sphere around a group of individuals or a single individual, covering a 30ft diameter with a thin, green-tinted fluid-like material in appearance.  Although his walls and shields primarily protect against physical attacks, his barriers can protect against magical attacks of high power.  Each structure created by Connor has it's own "HP" and when withered down, it will disperse unless Connor dismisses the structure, himself.  If a structure is damaged beyond its HP, he will take magical damage, the level depending on the amount of damage the structure receives.
Teleportation Switch - This ability allows Connor to teleport in any direction for up to 30ft, but it also allows him to switch locations with any ally or enemy within that range, should he choose that route.  If used too frequently in a short time span, this ability can cause dizziness, severe nausea, light-headedness, and lack of balance.

History/Back Story: Connor has headed the Rhodes Guild for eight years, continuing a somewhat brutal process of inner-competition that his previous Guild Master had held onto throughout the Guild daily life.  As far as he is concerned, if you cannot compete, you shouldn't be in this Guild.

Every guild member has a rank, but within that rank is another ranking that compares them to every other guild member within the group.  Connor likes to play games with all of the Guild members, hold battle training events that will determine each member's inner rank, as well as entertain the locals that live around them.

Although the Guild strongly protects its people, many of its members are known for their competitive attitude and Connor has been known as the king of "talking trash."  He enjoys being the Guild Leader, though he often wonders if he will be able to maintain the prominence of the Guild that its founder established and kept years ago.

Rex has been the leader for the Sheherazade for four years, working his hardest to gain the loyalty and respect of its members. Many were not happy with is ascension into the ranks of the Guild, specifically because most knew so little about him. Most have never seen him use his ability, and unfortunately, his background is also a mystery.

Although he has not been so forward about his past, he has shown great skill within the Archeological world, rather than in quest completion, thus proving to be a great asset to the Guild as a whole. He is friendly, respectful, and an all around helpful person, and thus far has done nothing to cause further distrust among his guild members.

Magic Ability (if any): Self Duplication Magic - With this ability, Mia can duplicate an image of herself, creating up to a hundred false images of herself that copy expressions while she fights.  These copies disperse after taking one attack, regardless of the power behind it.  They can deal some damage to an enemy, but they deal far less than the original Mia is capable of.  Although her face is copied while she speaks and such, they do not have to copy her movements and she controls their overall movement with her mind.  However, if a larger number of copies is out and being used, Mia cannot usually control her own body, due to the need to concentrate and if this ability is used for too long of a period of time, she will experience numbness and a weakened version of her primary five senses.
Super Strength Magic - She super strong, yo.  This is a passive ability, and so therefore, no drawbacks are currently known about this ability.
Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: Competing with her "arch-enemy."

History/Back Story: Mia is not a lady that likes to be downed upon because she is so different. Many of her past friends assured her that she would never amount to anything just because she didn't wish to be a "lady." This never deterred Mia from being herself, however, in fact--it encouraged her to continue her more masculine habits and succeed at them to prove others wrong.

Mia founded and has kept the Valoria guild for an entire year, a feat that her "arch-nemesis" deemed she could not accomplish. She refers to her friend as her arch-nemesis as she desires to out-succeed her in everything, which has thus caused a great rift between the two women, though not between their Guilds. This woman that she has dubbed her enemy is also known as Lady Aurella De Gant, whom she swears to best in all Guild-like things to her members upon their joining. She does also, of course, make sure that the Guild does not become centered around her own gains alone.

Magic Ability (if any): Beast Soul Magic - This magic lets you take on the properties of beasts you've previously defeated. It can be as simple as an appendage shift into a creature, or the full body shift. This transformation can effect the mentality of the user, causing them to take on mental traits of the creature they shift into during the shift that can drastically change the way they would normally act, especially during more powerful transformations.
Ward Magic - This ability allows Grey to place up wards around people or locations that ward against spirits or spiritual beings of specific alignment types. If and when broken, Grey can feel when these wards are breached or broken under any circumstance, so they also serve as a type of "alarm" around a specific area. The drawback for this ability is unknown.

Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Metal Move - Ability to mentally move metals. It's similar to telekinesis but it's restricted to metal objects. His abilities allow him to manipulate any kind of metal, but the lighter and more malleable, the easier to use. Rodimus can move up to 4,000 lbs (the weight of an average car) with little exertion. He can hold a 100 lbs piece of metal for 10 minutes. Any longer, and he would have to exert himself. His limit is 5,000 lbs, but Rodimus can't even lift that much unless he REALLY pushes himself. After lifting that much, he would fall into a coma. He can also apply pressure to the metal in the same way a hand holds an object. Similarly enough, he can cause malleable metals to bend or get crushed.

Rodimus can throw a small piece of metal at about 30-35mph. Larger pieces at 20-25. And huge pieces at 5, although he can only throw one thing at a time. The range of what metals he can use is based on his sight, and he's nearsighted, so he can use a metal up to 30ft away. Line of sight does have to be maintained, but if he's already manipulating some metal, he can continue using it without being able to see it. Rodimus can control up to 15 pieces of metal at a max length of 10ft. His ability causes him to have bad short term memory, so he is known for his forgetfulness. He often forgets the names of those he meets for the first time, but the names stick after a while. He also tends to forget to do important tasks as a guild master, but he has an assistant who takes care of them.

History/Back Story: The day Rodimus discovered his powers, he wanted to do great things with them. The boy's mother was also a telekinetic, but for some reason, Rodimus could only use his powers on metal. Still, he desired to develop his powers to unimaginable levels. Being a natural-born tinkerer, Rodimus quickly picked up building and engineering with his powers. One day in his youth, Rodimus noticed a boy who had trouble walking due to being crippled. The boy looked so lonely and in pain, Rodimus couldn't help but do something. He pulled out any scrap sheets of metal from a local foundry and built a homemade wheelchair for the lad. The boy didn't even know Rodimus' name when he was given the gift. The experience caused Rodimus to think that if he could use his powers to help the life of that boy, then he could use them to better the world. And that's exactly what he set out to do. During his life, Rodimus strove to advance his abilities and his metal craftsmanship. He then formed his own guild so other builders and inventors could work together to develop new technologies for the world.

Magic Ability (if any): Berserker Magic - When channeling his anger, Rook transforms into a massive, hulkier version of himself where his skin turns into a deep red and he gains super strength, regeneration, and minor invulnerability of massive proportions. This is only a temporary shift and when it is over, he is greatly weakened and burned out for a while. (Basically, he's a red Hulk.)

History/Back Story:
Rook has been a member of the Blazing Swords ever since it was established twenty years ago. He was a mere boy at the time, but he learned much as he worked with Jay Parks, the head mercenary who taught him the value of military discipline and leadership. After ten years of struggling to help make the Guild reputable, Jay stepped down and handed the Guild over to Rook, even though he was only a Rank B magic user.

It took a lot of time for Rook to prove himself as a worthy Guild Master, as many of the other Guild Masters had felt he was unworthy of the position, especially considering his lackluster attitude towards doing all of the Guild Master paperwork and other suck relevant duties that he did not consider to be as "fun." Nonetheless, he worked hard at expanding and recruiting, pushing Blazing Swords into prominence within five years of his leadership. Unable to protest at his swift statistics within Guild Quest Completion and numbers, Rook has kept his position and maintains a good standing with other guilds, though he does like to occasionally start meaningless competition with the others for fun.

Immediately, Ilyana changed the direction of the Guild, which had primarily been directed towards completing quests as their only goal. Standing proudly for Justice and Honor, Ilyana has been viewed as the female knight of the city, enforcing laws and protecting citizens becoming top priority. Loved by the people, she is forceful and merciless towards criminals and she does not believe in second chances for most cases.

Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Charisma Shift - At will, Lord Crye can shift his own Charisma to allow himself to be more intimidating or more charming by a significant amount. Although this is usually needed for diplomatic affairs, he has taken advantage of his intimidation in battle a few times, as well. (Generally to avoid fights or end them quickly.)
Super Strength - For short bursts at a time, Lord Crye can use super strength to his advantage. Due to the short time frame of each use, he can only surge himself up enough for quick attacks and other similar uses. He cannot carry or lift things beyond a short burst of time. Drawbacks include exhaustion and severe headaches.
Voice Alter - This ability grants Lord Crye with the ability to sing and effect all others that can hear or see it.  His singing voice creates motes of light and lighting changes within range and can alter moods, morale, minor visual perception, and other similar things.  Although it is usually used as a buffing magic for his allies in battle, it can also be used in the same way to the enemy, except for demoralization methods. Drawbacks for this ability are unknown.

History/Back Story: Lord Crye, although is currently within Blazing Swords Territory, has promised to find his own home for his Guild very soon.  For now, his newly-establish Guild is placed within his rich estate, where there is plenty of room and board for those that choose to join.  This Guild has been Lord Crye's dream for a long time, but it was only recently a reality when he was able to find a fifth, trusted member (guild establishment requires five initial members).  

Spending the last several years on saving up for guild matters and establishment, while also dealing with the paperwork, Lord Crye has been less involved in political and high-class events and matters.  These things do not matter to him, so much, and although he is a rich man with fine etiquette, he does not have the same mentality of Lady de Gant, a woman that he shares a rather unhealthy rivalry with.  Despite this, the two manage to work together quite well when it is required, but otherwise, they avoid each other as best they can.

Other than his family's heritage, as well as the various charities that his family has run and given much to, not much else is known about the Lord Crye other than the fact that he has one daughter, Lady Crye, that he has demonstrated to love and dote on fiercely.  As of this time, no magical abilities have been demonstrated by his daughter and they have both openly stated that she did not obtain any gifts from him.  This isn't out of the ordinary, however, considering that Lord Crye's late wife and the girl's mother was also not magical.  The story behind Lord Crye's wife and how she died is unknown.

Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any): Selective Intangibility - Temporarily intangible, Iasrite is able to choose what he does and does not phase through.  This allows him to phase through walls, object, or people at will.  Additionally, this is helpful in battle, should be attacked with a physical weapon, where he can simply phase through it.  He cannot breathe when is phasing, so he can only phase through things for as long as he is holding his breath.
Echolocation - This magic allows the user to use sound waves to see in an area around him for up to 30ft around him, though the range can vary depending on the materials around him and his environment.  
Soul Link Magic: Commune Magic - Unlike his older sister, Iasrite is unaware of the spirit that he is bound to due to the fact that he has never been able to communicate with it via words.  This spirit has never made any effort to introduce itself, nor has it ever answered any of his questions regarding who or what it is.  Still, he is able to ask this spirit questions and receive answers that, by all experience, have proven to be reliable in a precognitive sense.

History/Back Story:  Born after his sister Ilyana, he was raised by good parents that loved him greatly as his sister was.  Although it wasn't long before his sister had moved away and headed into a Guild, Iasrite has always heavily avoided them.  He's not fond of a "cult mentality" and as far as he is concerned, Guilds are building too closely to that.  He also believes this is the cause why such a great evil power like that of Dark Ascension was ever able to arise.  Despite this, he has recently accepted the offer to become a Guild Master--at the request of his dear sister.

He and Ilyana have never seen eye-to-eye on most matters, but that's largely due to the fact that she's so sociable, kind, and generous.  Comparatively, Iasrite is selfish, introverted, and unlikely to share his finds.  Regardless, as a favor to his sibling, he has taken it upon himself to force himself to a new position that he neither desires, nor expects to succeed in.  However, he has decided that this position will be temporary, at best, until a member of the Guild reaches the S-Rank requirement for the position.

History/Back Story: Clair grew up in a town in Serrice where her father was a soldier. He had always wanted a son but got a daughter instead. So he taught her what he knew. He taught her how to fight with the long sword so that she could always defend herself. Her mother had died when she was giving birth to her and she never knew her.

One day a great band of thieves came through their town demanding that they give all they had to them. Clair's father had told her to stay hidden so that he and the other soldiers could do their jobs but it was not to be. During a talk they were poisoned and killed. When she came out of hiding half of the town had been slaughtered and the others inconsolable. After she found out what happened that day, she found her fathers sword and left that town. She never went back. From that day forward all she wanted was for justice to be had.  She would always fight for the defenseless and the weak. No matter what it took.

After a year on the road and finding out she had a magical ability, she joined Infinity Edge so that she could hone her magic skill and continue helping those weaker than her. She knew this was what she wanted so she started hiring herself out to those who needed her. This made her happy and knew what she was doing was right.

Viorian Link Magic (Holy Scripture Magic) - Nadleeh's primary ability is to receive magical abilities from her deity, Vioria, whom grants her the gift of her Holy Scripture Magic.  With this ability, Nadleeh  possesses an in-depth knowledge of holy scripture, instantly quoting the appropriate verse to exorcise a Demon before it has fully manifested.  Much of this ability is used at the same time as physical combat, keeping the demon at bay with actions, as well as words until it is banished back into its realm.

History/Back Story:  Nadleeh is rather new to the Guild, but she is not new to her magic or to her business with Exorcism. Though she does separate her religion from the Guild entirely and never preaches within the Guild Hall, she does still do a lot of work within her own Church on the side. As someone with a lot of experience with spirits and demons, she usually also has a few contacts from the Church that assist her in gaining certain materials, such as Holy Water.

Nadleeh usually receives "quests" or jobs through her Church, rather than the Guild, since most of the people commonly link an Exorcism to her religion and Deity, Vioria. Vioria is the Deity of Justice and Light, and Nadleeh's magic has allowed her to link with her Deity and her Domains to use the words of the Holy Scripture to exorcise, temporarily bind, and guide spirits to the proper realm where spirits belong. However, this does not stop Nadleeh from trying to bring clients to the Guild, rather than her Church, when the spirit is not entirely evil after investigation.

She usually walks barefoot but on hot days, she wears a pair of sandals. The scabbard for her sword-hilt dagger is strapped to her waist under her robe while the front of her vest has 4 containers for small blades or tools.      

Edel looks like a young, athletic teenager at 6ft tall, 130lbs with fair skin, short brown hair, and the same red eyes as Nymeria. He wears a simple, beige tunic over a white, collared undershirt, along with a pair of faded gray slacks and leather boots. In combat, he dawns light armor strapped around his torso, shins, and lower arms.

Through forbidden magic, Nymeria's spirit is bound to her blood, giving her the ability to manifest other bodies devoid of a soul, so long as a majority of the blood is drained and either left outside the body or reintoduced under Nymeria's control. Nymeria manipulate her own blood as if it were an extension of her body, allowing the bodies to use their blood like a whip or make it congeal into a semi-solid and use it like a blade or a needle.

Blood can collect in one part of the body to slow down penetrating weapons, but more blood loss may occur. They can send a small amount of blood flying at speeds around 20mph. In the case that they lose blood, they can replace it by ingesting the blood of another human through direct injection into the body, but they must wait for the new blood to bind to Nymeria's spirit before they can use it. The binding process takes from 1 hour to 10 hours depending on the volume consumed.

Their bodies also have enhanced healing so their cuts heal quicker, however body parts don't grow back and fatal wounds remain fatal, however the body can be repaired if the wound is "fixed" through surgery or magic. If 30% of the body's blood is outside the body for at least 10 minutes, Nymeria's body become sluggish and weak. Nymeria's bodies easily becomes anemic as a side effect of using her ability.

While Nymeria possesses more than one body, she suffers from the mental stress of managing multiple parts of herself. She can become distracted as she diverts attention from one body to another, causing her overlooked body to appear completely oblivious. In times where she loses focus, her bodies may speak at the same time, speak as if someone (either existent or not) is present, or move erratically. She functions perfectly well when diverting her attention to one body, although the others are left vulnerable to anything.    
Nymeria is skilled with her dagger and close-quarters combat. As such, these skills are extended to any body she manifests.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: Experienced with human physiology and medical aid. Able to treat most non-lethal wounds with a medical kit, as well as conduct blood transfusions. Enjoys reading medical textbooks and literature on spirituality. Often spends time relaxing by napping out in the wilderness.

History/Back Story:Nymeria was actually born approximately 55 years ago and lived a good life. She had plenty of money, a boyfriend, and lots of friends who loved to have a good time. At least, it was all good until one party turned to chaos. A savage fight broke out over two women, which then turned into an all-out brawl. Nymeria searched desperately for her boyfriend, but ended up getting a knife through the chest. When the fight subsided, Nymeria's boyfriend found her on the floor, bloody and gasping for air. Wretched with guilt and despair, the boyfriend turned to the only person who could help Nymeria; a sorcer. In exchange for much gold and treasures, the sorcerer agreed to place a magic curse on Nymeria's spirit. Her soul would forever be bound to the blood inside the next host body. The boyfriend forsake his integrity by kidnapping a young woman and offering her to the sorcerer. The magic user went through the ritual, killing the woman and binding Nymeria to the host blood. The perk of enhanced healing was also added.

When Nymeria saw her lover again, she embraced him as much as she could. As the years passed by, the boyfriend grew older, and it was evident Nymeria would outlive him. When her boyfriend died, Nymeria moved on to wander the land, feeling an ever present emptiness. She tried to fill that emptiness and make some money by doing something interesting with her life. She became a hired weapon for anyone to use for the right price. During that time, she discovered her powers and developed it to make it lethal. Her powers consumed her curiosity as she learned more about her body. Later, she became interested in learning as much about the human body as she could. She attended lectures, read literature on science and magic, and conducted experiments on herself to amass more knowledge. As years went by, she learned how to defy death by injecting her blood into an empty, younger body. Nymeria's travels took her to Sarrice, where she found an old library full of ancient books that caught her fancy. She then decided to join the nearby guild to have some food and shelter, as well as a few companions to chat with.

Appearance: Xiax has ratty dark brown long hair, that he sometimes ties back with bits of old bootlaces, rags, or what ever comes on hand. Once often seen in ratty or heavily patched clothes, most of those have been recycled by his new hosts at Infinity Edge. Though he doesn't much care what kind of color his clothes are he does seem to prefer dull colors rather than bright and vibrant ones. It is readily apparent that Xiax is used to the dirt and grime of his former homeless lifestyle. His nails show the marks of a habitual nail bitter, and his hands/body bears many scars where ever they can be seen. Xiax has only 9 fingers, 5 on his left, and 4 on his right, but he is glad to say that he has all his toes, teeth, eyes, ears and a nose. His brown eyes are his only oddity, the pupils appear an off milky white, like he has glaucoma, though this isn't the case even if he is slightly near sighted and the damn things glow in the dark. Standing at 6ft 2inches, Xiax weighs somewhere over 230Lbs with a stocky build hiding a growing amount of muscle from his rigorous training under his teachers at Infinity Edge.

Combat Skills:Learned from necessity: Brawling, and knife-fighting, strangling (Both with his hands and with tools)

Magic Ability: Infuse- The ability to transfer mana to other people and objects through touch. This ability also gives an understanding of the object or creature that receives the mana to Xiax, as his aura links to the creature/object during the process. Stronger denser objects seem to hold a better charge, though clear objects such as crystal or glass tend to glow more noticeably from the process. His control is solid enough that he doesn't effect most things he touches or ordinary people very often, however he has to worry about coming into contact with another magic user for his power automatically triggers until he passes out or the contact is broken. This power temporarily strengthens a creatures/object's aura.

Side effects include: Mental stress, rambling (often describing the object/persons traits or powers), shakes, trembling, forgetfulness/poor memory retention, nosebleeds, potentially rising to even more serious versions of those mentioned - Seizures, amnesia, etc. This does not include the bizarrely strange magical side-effects that often pop-up after Infusing people, these tend to be be along a similar if inverted line of reasoning to the person touched.
Xiax's aura regenerates unusually fast, and when left unused tends to infuse Xiax. This tends to make him more healthy though he thinks nothing of it since it goes unnoticed. This might explain why he often avoids sickness even considering his life style and the sometimes questionable conditions he lives in.

Shazeer (Bound to the Nine): This compact with the entity known as the Nine offers Xiax some limited form of reducing the negative aspects of Infuse by instead suffering mental fatigue and trauma. This fatigue/trauma comes from the fact that each use of Infuse when assisted by the Nine causes him to actually experience multiple different uses of infuse as the Nine cause him to experience a kind of temporal loop of many different possible futures that he still suffers through. They can also assist in the recovery process. Other than this Xiax has developed no other strange abilities or magic from his interactions so far with the Nine. He also shares some sort of bond to other members of the Shazeer such as Ryla.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: Fishing, Basket weaving, sewing, rope making, begging, listening, sneaking and visiting soup kitchens. Xiax also has a very advanced sense of smell, jokingly to the point of actually being able to smell himself.

History/Back Story: Xiax wasn't always among the homeless. He used to help out on a fishing boat, that was until his illness started. At first it wasn't that bad, it hardly ever happened, but as he got older it got progressively worse. That is his powers developed further then he could live with and he was fired. It was hard to get more work when word got around to other people that he often kept spacing out for long periods of time. It didn't help that many of them thought he was a lazy good for nothing, since he often skipped work or was sick. Attempts to explain didn't really help much, how does one explain that his magic wasn't under control when he couldn't remember using it?

Well that was back when he was a young man, gosh that was ages ago. Xiax has been scrounging his way through life, a man of meager everything, forced away from society with each encounter. He knows he has magic, but it's practically useless as far as he can tell. At best he can make somethings glow but that's about it. When he tried to go to one to the guilds, all it took was for him to accidentally touch the wrong person and that was it. Xiax didn't really know what had happened but he couldn't remember it either, the guy must have just left him there spaced out thinking he was on drugs or something.

It was pretty hard, well it's still hard just a tiny bit easier to survive now that he's made it closer to where the Council has set up and taken roots. Sure he has to watch out for bad food, cheats, knifers, and all the other stuff someone in his situation deal with but at least he knows what he is doing.

More recently Xiax as been taken in and sort of adopted by Infinity Edge. They constantly are pushing him to be better and the two months have been physically and mentally draining. He hasn't come to terms with his new lifestyle completely but Infinity Edge has been super careful with his magical training despite the attacks from Dark Ascension and the guild war that has been happening. He is very grateful of this new guild and may in time come to view everyone as family, instead of the incorrect view point of community outreach or hobo rehabilitation that it occasionally joked about among some of the rougher members of IE.

Combat skills/Magic Ability: Can use Scythes and can create anything from shadows while doing this he turns more un-dead. For example he can create a scythe from the shadow of a tree or plant, but it must be the width of the shadow he is creating it from. So if he were to do this from a flower it would be very skinny, but doing it from a big tree would make it more usable by him. He can also create things like walls from the shadows, this would create a wall as strong as if it was made of stone or a metal that is used to make walls, it would last for a very long time. The duration is however long Nekron wishes for it to last or for a few minutes when out of the shadows, making the use of weapons he creates limited for a short amount of time. Downside is that living things become more dead around in a 5ft radius around him.

Air summons a blast of air, and earth summons a "rain" of rocks towards the opponent.

Combat skills/Magic Ability: Has the ability to teleport up to 5 people at one time for a distance of 120ft. When she does teleport people, she will open up a portal at the location she is at and one at the location she is going to teleport to. She also uses her portals to attack people using their own attacks against them. For example when someone is shooting something at her she can use her portals to send them straight back at the attacker. She uses the same tactics when fighting someone in melee, only having the part of the weapon go through the portal that would have hit her. She has the down side of multiple personalities after use, she has seven other personalities in total. These other personalities act out as one of the seven deadly sins. Not trying to destroy the world but in short, acting more like them, more angry when wrath is out, etc. for the others. This generally lasts for about 10-15 minutes.

History: She is the daughter of a villain who tried to take over the world, she knows how peole will see her and does her best to stop that. She does her best to suppress her feelings towards everyone and everything, after having done this for many years she doesn't feel much towards anyone or anything and feeling something has become very rare for her. Most people call her Elizabeth, which is what she prefers, those who call her "Nekron's Little Girl" do it to piss her off. When on jobs that require stealth she prefers the name "Death's Demon".

Karnaca, a city on the edge of the world. With its gothic, Mediterranean architecture and aristocratic society, Karnaca is a jewel of the coast it nestles itself in. With its tall buildings, it made apt training grounds for Ham and Juliette, who ran and snuck across its rooftops, pretending to be master assassins. Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any): An agile and skilled swordsman, people who have faced him in combat or training have described him as a hurricane. His deft, precise movements and physical prowess make him a master class swordsman who can dispatch multiple foes in seconds. Originally eyed as a bodyguard for the rich and famous, Hamlet chose to dedicate his life to more noble pursuits, following in his mothers footsteps to become a righteous guardian of the people. Nimble and an adept climber, Hamlet can scale buildings with ease and hide atop buildings and in the shadows as need be.

His magic ability, Bend Time, allows Hamlet to slow and stop time for short intervals. This enables him to dispatch enemies frozen in stasis, or move by them quickly without being detected. It also enables him to save allies from attacks, negate surprise attacks, position himself for a tactical advantage and quickly clear multiple enemies off the battlefield. This ability can be activated by the wave of a hand or extreme focus. The drawback of his ability is that he ages quicker than his peers. With him looking years older than his twin sister. He accepts this drawback as a price to pay to keep people from harm with such a useful and powerful skill.

His secondary ability Blink, is a short range teleportation ability. Used to close short distances or traverse up to ledges otherwise inaccessible.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: Hamlet is an intelligent man of many hobbies. An avid chess master, and a fan of card games, anything that can test his mind, he is more than happy to indulge in. He reads books in his spare time and him and his sister boast an enviable personal library. He is a fan of morning jobs, so early that he can see the world start to wake up, and of playing the harp. His family tutored him in his youth to be what some would call 'a renaissance man', in the arts, the sciences, and just plain social etiquette. As such, to most he is the picture of a cultured gentleman, to his sister, this part of his image makes him seem an incorrigible snob. He enjoys time spent with his sister, sparring with her, and going on rooftop jaunts. A master tactician and a level head in a crisis, he is a person many turn to for sound advice.

History/Back Story: Born to a wealthy family, their sole son and heir, Hamlet was groomed to be the progeny of success and venture. He was tutored, groomed, made to be the very picture of a noble gentleman. In his youth, despite it all, he was frequently caught getting into trouble with his sister, Juliette, a child set on a very different path. The two loved each other above all else, sneaking off to visit each other when the other was sitting through their lessons. Hamlet was told to focus, and to not let his sister drag him into trouble; but that was the one point of advice he never bothered to listen to. As he grew older, and as his combative and magical abilities began to manifest, he became an object of adoration for many, many ladies, and some gentlemen. A dashing, handsome and fearsome warrior? Who could resist? Hamlet, however, did not bask in such superficial adoration, dedicating himself to honing his abilities.

And that he did, quickly rising in terms of skill, far above that of his unfortunate sister. Who struggled to keep up with him, but was determined to do so. Despite all this, he never forgot her, and the two were, as always, joined at the hip. Sparring and laughing, making mischief despite their parents pleas. But, where Juliette got tattoos and crashed through windows, Hamlet played chess games with masters and snuck through entire parties undetected. The two strayed to very different paths.

Hamlet was, and still is, aware that part of his sister resents him for being so 'above' her for their entire lives. It saddens him greatly, and though he wishes that he could fix the situation, he knows any pity on his part would make the situation worse. He is a man dedicated to his guild and his duty, often staying back at the guild hall to take care of the cities people rather than seek glory on quests; though when needed for a mission, he answers the call without fail, proving a deadly and efficient adversary. His skills in stealth remain invaluable to those wishing to make a quick, deft impression.

Combat Skills/Magic Ability (if any): A nimble, adept, and aggressive fighter, Juliette is a terror to those who cross her path. An expert in assassinations and takedowns, she can dispatch enemies without them ever realizing she was there. Fond of brutal, quick, kills and hard hitting assaults; her combat philosophy is an aim to be the last thing you never see. Not averse to actual combat, she, much like her brother, is a whirlwind and a flurry of blades, taking on multiple opponents. Her large detractor is her recklessness, a fondness for charging in for the kill too early, her impulsive tendencies her brother has to rescue her from, more often than not. She is a nimble climber and a shadow when it comes to moving unseen, making her all that more appropriate and invaluable for stealth based tasks.

She wields the same kind of collapsable blade as her brother, naming it 'The Occult Kiss'.

Her magical ability Mesmerize allows her to summon a floating, bristly apparition in a visible location of her choice. This apparition 'mesmerize's' anyone who happens to look upon it or stand too close. It reduces them to standing, catatonic, drooling zombies, unable to defend themselves or move out of dangers way, enabling July to take down her targets with ease. Victims of this ability will feel an intense, overwhelming apathy and depression which, even after the apparition disappears, will stay with them for a short while, forcing them to occasionally take a moment to recover. The black, bristly presence disappears after a short while, or until July dispels it. The con to this ability is that it will also effect allies within its reach.

The side effect of Juliette's ability is mental decay, madness. The more she strains this ability, the more she begins to see hallucinations and have nightmares, though terrors might be a better word in the more dramatic stages. She hears things, senses things that aren't there, and in the later stages, will start to see visual hallucinations. She manages to keep it mostly under control, but the panic it can incite in her is undeniable.

Her secondary ability Void Reach, enables her to extend a long, black, tendril-like claw to quickly pull her to her destination. She remains visible, unlike her brothers teleportation, and can travel longer distances.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: An avid reader herself, she is often seen in her and her brothers shared personal library, sitting or laying atop a bookshelf, deeply involved in her latest find. She is a fan of word scrambles, puzzles and painting. She also allows herself to be dragged into whatever games her brother is now dabbling in. She is a fan of midnight roof or stealth runs to test her skills, looking down at the city from above, as a silent watcher.

History/Back Story: While her brother was being groomed for success, Juliette was being groomed for marriage. As a young lady of her family, the only thing her parents saw fit for her to do was to marry and produce progeny for their family; a sentiment and 'life goal' Juliette detested. She was taught how to entertain, to sing, to play the harp and the piano; how to entertain guests, how to properly curtsey, how to cook, how to manage accounts; she loathed all of it. So she, instead, chose to shirk her studies and sneak off to join her brother, who in turn snuck out to join her.

Her brother proved to be her only friend, and the two manifested their abilities at almost the exact same time, which is why it proved almost painful when it started to become apparent that he brother was leaving her in the dust in terms of skill level, of proficiency.

Her and her brother both agreed and were determined to strike out on their own and join Infinity Edge, a guild that had been home to some of their braver, more courageous ancestors. While her brother rose quickly through the ranks; Juliette's own ascension seemed almost stunted in comparison.

She frequently branches out, leaving the guild hall for days or weeks at a time to complete arduous quests or difficult journeys. Though she is always sure to write home, and bring souvenirs back for her brother.

Appearance: Sonja is the court butterfly of the the Holstein Kingdom. This affectionate title comes more from her appearance than from any social habits, though she can be rather chatty at times. She has a small, light, and narrow frame with porcelain white, flawless, skin. Her hair flows down to her waist and is sky blue in color, and is generally kept in simple loose pigtails adorned with various accessories stylized after butterfly wings. Her eyes are a few shades of blue bright than her hair and brimming with the electric spark of life making them practically glow. As would fit any proper Lady Sonja’s wardrobe is filled exclusively with dresses, which is all she would want to wear even if she weren't a princess, shoes, and jewelry. Her movements, whether walking, running, dancing, or simply waving, are filled with elegance, grace, and divine fluidity much in the same way as a butterfly drifting on a gentle breeze.

Guardian Soul: Corona - It is often said that people have otherworldly guardians looking after them, whether by means of angels, dead loved ones, or simply primal force personified, but in Sonja’s case her guardian is her soul given life through magic. In most people their soul is a hidden facet of their self that is never directly interacted with, but somehow Sonja’s soul has gained sentience and its own identity, while simultaneously being just another part of Sonja’s identity. How or why this happened is a mystery to all, especially to Sonja and Corona. The prevailing theory is that the magic manifesting within Sonja’s body was so powerful that it had to resort to unconventional means to not exceed its host’s limits and thus killing her. This theory is both an explanation of the unconventional nature of the magic and of the constant sickly state Sonja was in for the first ten years of her life.

The true nature of the magic appears to be in fusing together Sonja and Corona into a single new entity wholly different from both separate identities, but once again Sonja’s body seems to be a limiting factor. Sonja can clearly see what the finalized fusion will look like in her mind and it takes the form of a fully grown woman that appears to be partially human, fairy, and demon. All she is capable of getting out of the fusion so far is her skin turning a pale purplish blue, her eyes turning neon green, and butterfly/fairy wings sprouting from her back. In this form she is able to manipulate water, but only to small degrees and with a lot of concentration. Unfortunately this form doesn’t actually grant her the ability to fly, at least not yet though she is extremely hopeful in that regards for the future, but she is capable of flapping the wings with some effort.

In terms of combat Sonja directly has no ability to fight with her magic as she is yet to even manifest her horns in her fusion state let alone her clawed toes and fingers. Similarly to the lack of her horns and claws it would appear until she can fully fuse her access to combative water magic is limited as well. However in extreme cases Corona can physically manifest outside of Sonja’s body to protect her using powerful water manifestation, to manifest water the air around her must be humid, and control magic, used to manipulate existing sources of water as well as water manifested from humid air. In terms of rank Corona would likely be considered A rank if she wasn’t a soul. Doing so uses up a lot of Sonja’s magical energy leaving her feeling dizzy at best after wards and quite possibly is even capable of killing her at worst. As such this is only ever done as a last resort and Corona’s physical manifestation only last as long as it has too to make sure Sonja is safe before quickly retreating back inside of Sonja’s body.

[Healing Water] - While any potential for combat is linked with Corona and the fusion form Sonja does have magic of a different nature she can access on her own. Similarly to the magic that Corona has it is a variant of water manifestation and control but instead of a destructive and combative nature it is linked to the softer art of healing. Sonja's healing water has a soft silvery glow that makes the effected water like back lit translucent mercury making it both beautiful and otherworldy at the same time.

This water can heal superficial external wounds via direct contact in what Sonja refers to as washing the wound. For anything else the water must be drunk for it to work. When drunk an overwhelming tiredness causes sleep within a matter of seconds as the healing magic both directly works to heal the wounds, poisons, or sickness affecting the individual while simultaneously ramping up the bodies immune systems providing for quicker than normal healing. That said the scope of the magic allows for an overall reduced healing time of one half, ex. if a wound/sickness/poison would take two weeks to heal this magic can make recovery happen in 1 week, though to reduce the healing time this much require a regime of several doses of the healing water. Sonja's healing water can exist for a single day after it is formed before becoming ordinary water, though this water is as pure as if it came from an unpolluted spring.

Sonja can use her healing water on herself only to cure or heal minor injuries and sicknesses as anything serious would prevent her from focusing enough to create any healing water. However the one exception to this is if she has on herself a vial or bottle of healing water that is less than a day old. The consumption of this will apply its healing properties, while also incapacitating her into a deep healing rest that will last for eight hours.

Non-Combative Skills/Hobbies: Dancing, reading, eating, running, playing, shopping, picking her outfit out each day, singing, and exploring the world.

History/Back Story: Sonja is the youngest cousin to the queen of Holstein and is also the youngest of 5 children. To say that she was a surprise would be an understatement as she 20 years younger than the youngest of her siblings and 32 years younger than her eldest sibling. This age gap and the fact that she has been close to death’s door her whole life has kept her from ever get to know her siblings. Fortunately this hasn’t really been an issue for Sonja as she herself finds it hard to relate to them as much as they find it hard to relate to her.

At around the time she tuned 10 Sonja started to get healthier though her parents and her nanny started to question her sanity as it was around this time she suddenly started talking to a person she called Corona. As lonely a life as she had lived up till then she had never once made up an imaginary friend so this behavior caught them off guard. Even more alarming was when Sonja first fused with Corona and her skin turned blue. Panic ensued as everyone thought she was dying, as one oft thinks at the sight of someone with blue skin, and it was only when Corona popped out of Sonja’s chest and explained what was going on that the panic subside, only to get replaced by a mixture of awe and terror.

Needless to say it was decided that it would be best for Sonja, and the court, for her to join a guild and learn to use her magic and no more fitting a guild that Quinsenterra could be found for one of her lineage. To date she has been living at the guildhall in the Gir'ratown for just over 3 months now.
